lmao oh geez. *makes mental note to run away when trevor shows up* ;Dif you must insist on taking pictures, make them candids. I'd rather look accidentally like an idiot than like an idiot trying to not look like an idiot. ;D

If you haven't noticed, almost all my shots are candid. Better to actually capture the person or event that way.

nearly done with all of mine. flowers on the red/black one, and the train and sleeves on the gray. *grin* ah, the work one can do when lacking a job and entertainment.

I guess here is a good place to put this:
Jess Ebert (I believe her user name on this board is Call_Me_Charlotte_) is making my costume this year and she did last year as well. She is a former cast member and is part of the Irish tinker troop this season. She graduated from KSU with a costume design major. That being said here is her contact information for taking on costume commissions: Send to broknmirrors@yahoo.com 1. Your intended pattern number(s) 2. Your approx. size She will then send you an estimate of her price. If you both agree, she will contact you and will make arrangements to get your measurements and take the money. Everything must be paid up front. That's about it. You can contact Jess at her e-mail listed above or PM her on this board, or if all else fails, you can contact me and I'll get in touch with her. She's a good friend of mine, and I promise she'll treat you right!!!
Thanks, Kara

yes, but fashion and costume design are different (at least to me.) I knew they had fashion design as a major (i'm actually considering it right now) but i didn't know they had a costume design major. I knew they had the gallery. I've never been in it though.

I'm going to echo fanny little's ad for her friend who makes costumes, but I'm gong to add as well that my services extend to anything sewing/craft related for gaming as well (costumes and/or props, for example). I'm on chardon square.
What I need is:
for costumes: pattern number appx size (basically the same as Fanny indicated were needed)
for anything else: what you want done anything else will be determined from there (supplies, feasibility, etc)
Email them to ElfGirlTamuril@aol.com
My prices will most likely be variable based on difficulty, materials, and the time required. I'll contact you with an estimate, same as Fanny's friend.
Now, I'm definitely not a professional, so if you want someone who is, and is trained as such, and who probably is more perfect with her sewing, go with call_me_charlotte. But I'm not bad either; I've sewn all my life, and my works do last a while. Just let me know.
And now that that's out of the way.....

MORE COSTUME BRAGGING! It's not mine this time, its my sis's (clover on the board). She doesn't know how to post it, so she's asked me to. Her costume's from napoleanic times, and she's got a cape as well. Looks quite nice-she's a good seamstress. i3.photobucket.com/albums/y91/Tamuril41788/P1010250_edited.jpg full body shot of her. She hates this one because she thinks her face looks wonky, but I like it, so it's going up. i3.photobucket.com/albums/y91/Tamuril41788/P1010253.jpgsame thing but with the cape instead of the over gown. this one's sideways too, but do the rapper pose the other way this time. grr on wonky computers.

I like it! Love the colors, and glad you/she let the fabric do the talking. It looks lovely!
I hope the fabric breathes well. Get a couple of ribbons for headbands, and you're fit for Josephine's court!
Tell your sister to smile when pictures are being taken!

Question for some of the more sewing/costume savvy people here. I just found the right pirate pattern for the pirate invasion weekend and the thing is it's a Capt. Jack pattern. My question is ,is this the most accurate Capt Jack pattern out there? By the way I'm not going to be Capt Jack per say just want clothing like him since there are no Barbarossa patterns out there.

From what I've seen, (I work at a jo-ann fabrics) there aren't ANY accurate patterns for jack sparrow. You just have to find one that's similar for the base, then aquire or make everything else he's got from scratch and a good memory.
