I want to see Kong. But not enough to sit in a theater for 3 hours to see it. That's too long for me to go without a smoke.

I get about 5 or 6 hours sleep a night. But I am unconciious. (When I go to sleep, I am out)
I can go for more than that without a smoke. But it has either because I am really busy doing something, or for something I think is worth it (example any of the LOTR movies) While I want to see Kong, I don't want to see it that bad.

Well Trevor... One good thing about this electronic age we live in is that in a couple of months you can watch Kong at home on DVD. HANK.

Bunnie and I went out today and saw the "Chronicles of Narnia" Pretty good movie. A little Star wars, a little Harry Potter, a little Lord of the Rings...A little too long! It's about 2 1/2 hours, and the first part is a little dragged on, but about an hour in it starts to get good. Saw previews for the new "Pirates of the Caribbean" due out this June or July. That looked like it ought to be pretty good. Also saw previews for a new "Pink Panther" movie starring Steve Martin. It looked like it might be pretty funny, but we'll have to wait and see. Peter Sellers I think "owns" the role of Inspector Clouseau, so we'll have to see if Martin can pull it off. It's due out in Feb. I think. Have you noticed how Loooooong movies are getting?? Back in the 40's and 50's movies were about 70 to 90 minutes long. Today 2 hours are the average, and some like King Kong, Lord of the Rings are going 3 hours. Pretty soon you'll need a 7th inning stretch like in baseball. Trevor has a tough time with 3 hour movies cuz of needing a smoke break. I have trouble with 3 hour movies cuz my back starts to hurt from sitting so long. And if you buy the DVD and watch all the deleted scenes and out takes the movie is 4 1/2 hours long!! HANK.

Yeah, the seats start getting uncomfortable after a while. What ever happened to intermissions?

Maybe because some kids have such a short attention span they might just walk out thinking it was over

I'm not sure about movies I'm looking forward to. With the cost at the theatres it usually has to be something we really want to see. Saw the latest H.P. movie and "Chronicles" fairly recently. Thoroughly enjoyed both. I thought "Chronicles" was excellent actually! My kids and I are anticipating a great run for the rest of the books/movies!
I must agree with you SSG on cost! Heck, we can find discount theatres where seeing the movie costs less than the popcorn. I'm talking for the whole family, mind you! We had one that used to be $.50 per person weekdays before 6 p.m. This was just a few years ago! Howere, popcorn/drinks cost as much as any other theatre (they find a way to get 'ya!).

To Mickey and S.S. Groupie.... I hear ya about the cost. It is outrageous! We usually try and do matinees, it's a little cheaper and usually little or no other people. As to movies needing to be 3 hours long,Nooooo! Just show TWO movies like they use to, you know, a double feature! or am I showing my age here? We rarely buy popcorn and such when we go. Hell, I could buy another car for less cost! We will usually go out to eat after the movie. It's cheaper! HANK.

There is a movie theater in Willoughby or Willoughby Hills on Route 6 (at the intersection with Route 84), normal admission is $1.50. Only $1 if you're there before 6pm, and $0.50 all day Tuesday. I think they do second or third runs. You have to wait a few months to see new releases, but it's worth it!
