Jasmine, that's the theatre I was talking about too! I knew they weren't $.50 every day anymore (I forgot they still did that at all). Bunnie, the only time I ever saw 2 movies at a theatre was when we used to go to the drive-in (when we still had one in Mentor). I went with my mom, brothers, and sisters, so, yes, I did watch the movies.
I'd actually like to take my kids to the one that's still left around here. I've been trying to get them out there for quite a while now. That, and I read an article a few years ago about there still being a "Dog and Suds" around here somewhere. I can't remember where though. I'd like to take them there if it's still open.

We still have a drive-in in the area. It's out in Andover, but it is still there. Last double feature I saw was back in the 80's Saw Heavy Metal and Cheech and Chong's Nice Dreams. Now that was a fun day

We have the Skyway drive -in and the Elm Rd Triple Drive-in. They each play two movies per screen. Occasionally they will play three. There is also the Midway drive-in in Ravenna. But that isn't any good til spring:)

Mickey...yeah, I am showing my age I guess. I was talking about INDOOR theaters, where they use to show TWO movies, plus a cartoon or two. You know, way back when dirt was invented!! We have a drive-in in Munson. on route 322 about a mile west of route 44, just south of Chardon. Is that the one you were thinking of? They will be open in the Spring, late April or May probably. Last year they were charging $14.00 a CAR LOAD! so bring the kids, the neighbors kids, whomever! Most folks bring lawn chairs and sit out side by their car. HANK.

Nah, the best way to go to a drive-in is with a truck. Back into the spot, and sit on the tailgate. Don't forget a nice big cooler fully stocked to go with it.
And just so you know Hank. That double feature I mentioned was indoor. Right here in Conneaut. Of course that was the very early 80's so ........ [shrug]

Have to agree with you Trevor but forget sitting on the tailgate. Put the air mattress back there and have the cooler.PG folks

The truck bed thing just don't work for me. my truck has a cap, so getting it angled just right on the ramp so I can see thru the "window" is dang near impossible. Plus at "my" drive-in they make the pickups and vans park toward the rear so as to not obstruct the view of people parked behind them. So if I park back there then I got a zillion people walking in front of me to go to the concession stand. So I just take my car and lawn chair and catch my favorite spot, second row back, center screen. Right close to the concession stand and bathroom. Hey, all that beer has to go somewhere!

Actually, in the back is the best area to be. And you can set your lawn chairs up in the back of the truck (without cap) and you don't have to worry about anyone blocking your view

Hey Trevor...That back row thing was fine when I was younger and trying to make out in the back seat, but these old eyes ain't what they use to be. We are going to try and go this Sunday and catch Underworld 2. I'll tell ya what I think of it Sunday night when we get home. Course, by then you may have already seen it yourself.

Not sure if I will catch it or not. Brit is going to see it tomorrow night with her friend though.
I never actually took a date to the drive in. When I was that age, it was usually me and a few friends and a cooler of beer.

Hank, I'm not sure if the one I'm thinking of is the one out by you or not. I've got it bookmarked and I check what they're playing (when they're open, of course). I think the same people own the one SSG was talking about too! I remember at their website having to choose which theatre to check on. It seems I remember one of the theatres having three screens.
Bunnie, I knew ( or suspected, anyway) that you were talking about an inside theatre. And, remember, girl, we're not old, we have experience. You guys, behave yourselves! I honestly don't think I've ever been to a "double-feature" movie, except at a drive-in.
