Saw Logan yesterday, good movie, but a tad too long in my opinion. Two and a half hours, really!? Saw previews for the new DEADPOOL movie. That looks pretty good. Love the character. They didn't give a start time but I hope it's soon, like this Summer maybe.
From the previews of the "new" Alien it looks like a remake of the very first one from 20 years ago. It's like Hollywood can't come up with any new ideas so they just keep remaking the same ole movie with different actors. Spiderman and the Fantastic Four come to mind for example.

My thoughts exactly on Logan. It was a great movie. Could have been an awesome movie if they would have come in at around 2 hours total running time. No huge cuts, just shorten a lot of scenes a little bit. Especially early in the movie. Other than that first fight scene, it took forever for anything to actually happen.
Yeah. I'm not completely sold on this new Alien movie. But, since I have never actually seen an Alien movie in the theater, I will probably give this one a shot. Looks a heck of a lot better than Prometheus was.

Oh my God, Prometheus was a TOTAL piece of shit. There was 5 bucks and two hours of my life I'll never get back. I would have to rank that with the Blair Witch Project and Cloverfield as the WORST movies I have EVER seen.

Saw Kong: Skull Island yesterday. It ROCKS! Probably the best Kong movie since the original 1933 version, which for its time had some great special effects. The Jack Black version of a few years back wasn't bad either. If you've not seen it yet when you do stay thru the end of the credits for a preview of the next one.

I saw it Saturday evening. Got a huge round of applause when the credits rolled, and a standing ovation after the credits.
I pretty much knew what the scene would be about. Legendary has not been shy about talking about Kong vs Godzilla coming after the Godzilla sequel. Which is supposed to feature more of the well known other monsters. Apparently Mothra, Rodan, and Ghidorah.

So Trevor, have you seen Ghost in the Shell yet, if so what did you think of it? How about Fate of the Furious? Hope to catch that in a day or so.

Saw Fate on Saturday. It was ok. Nothing wrong with it, just nothing really grabbed me on this one. Not really a whole lot of driving in this one.
I really liked Ghost. But then again, I am already a fan of the franchise and am very familiar with it. I've heard from other friends who had a hard time figuring out what the whole thing was about.
Next month I am looking forward to the Guardians of the Galaxy 2. The Hitman's Bodyguard looks pretty good too. Saw the red-band trailer on youtube and loved it. Saw the edited trailer at the movies, while still good, was really missing some of the fun. Samuel L Jackson and Ryan Reynolds are much better when not censored.

What do you mean you're a fan of the franchise? This some series on U-tube or something cuz I never heard of it till this movie came out. Like I said before, lot of action in it but no really good reason why any of the action took place other then to make a movie with a lot of action in it.
As for Furious...yeah, it was OK, but it's gettin' old hat. A few movies back Letty turns against the group, then she comes back now Dom turns against the group, who's next, the Rock, one of the black guys? And who was the other girl with them? I don't remember her from any of the previous films.
Don't you wish you had a car like they do? Those things must be made of the same material as Captain America's shield or Wolverine's claws, cuz they crash thru everything, jump over submarines, fly hundreds of feet down mountain sides, get a million bullets, rockets, missiles, and bombs shot at em without a dent to be had. Maybe in the next movie it will be the cars VS The Rust Monster.
Saw previews for a movie called Atomic Blond staring the girl who played the villain in Furious, looked pretty good. Coming out later this Summer.

Like I said before, lot of action in it but no really good reason why any of the action took place other then to make a movie with a lot of action in it. Originally this started off as anime (well technically manga that was then made into anime) First anime movie was 1995. Then an anime series in 2002 Then another anime series in 2004. Which was the same year the 2nd anime movie came out. Yeah. I've been looking forward to Atomic Blonde for a couple months now. Ever since I saw the 1st trailer. The 2nd trailer I saw just before Furious. A lot of the same stuff in both trailers, but the 1st one featured a really nice fight scene in a stairwell. What impressed me was it was one long continuous shot. Not a whole bunch of quickly edited shots like in so many other movies these days. That is what mainly got me excited for the movie. And yeah, Furious is getting a bit old. The only really good part I thought was with the baby on the plane. The other girl in the group was from the last movie. She was the one they had to rescue, then track down the thumb drive with her program on it, so they could then track down Shaw.

OK, anime is just the Jap word for cartoon, but what the hell is MANGA? What pisses me off about movie fights scenes is not only the choppy editing but the fact both the hero and the villain are dressed alike(suits, for example) and the fight takes place in the dark, so you have no clue who's who.

That's what I loved about this trailer. Well lit stairway / hallway her and 2 guys, wearing normal cloths. And just a whole lot of punching, kicking, slamming into walls, getting thrown down stairs. www.youtube.com/watch?v=nI7HVnZlleoMANGA is like japanese comic books.

Hey Trevor, you mentioned Aliens: Covenant was one of the movies you wished to see. Let me know what ya thought of it. I think I'm going to pass. It's suppose to be a "prequel" but from the way the paper described it it sounds to me more like a remake of the original with Sigourney Weaver. So why waste 5 bucks? been there, done that, saw the original 38 years ago. God, can't believe it's been that long ago.
Seems like nobody can come up with a new idea anymore so they just keep remaking the original movie with new actors. Spiderman being a great example, how many times have they remade the first movie where Peter Parker get bit by the spider and fights the Green Goblin only with different actors? Same goes for the Fantastic Four. What? Did Stan Lee only write the one damn comic book? there were NO other stories?

Actually, Alien is one of the ones I decided not to see in theaters. I'll wait for it to come on cable. Along with the new Pirates movie, the Mummy, the Kingsman sequel, and Wonder Woman. No interest at all in Spider Man.
I did go see Guardians of the Galaxy. Good movie. Not quite as fun as the first one, but still funny and entertaining.

Saw Blade Runner 2059 today. I have to say it surpasses Blair Witch as the WORST piece of shit I ever wasted five bucks on. Way too damn long, and if there was a plot it made no sense. Wouldn't recommend this one unless you suffer from insomnia.

I wasn't a big fan of the original, so I had no interest in the reboot.
