A couple of things you may or may not know: I think we all know that this will be the last season for Battlestar Galactica, but according to the June 18 to 24 issue of TV Guide and I quote. executive producers Ronald Moore and David Eick state, "But is this really the end? Moore and Eick want to do a Galactrica prequel series, to be called Caprica, though SciFi has yet to make them an offer." Meanwhile, RAZOR, a two hour TV movie set on Galactica's sister battlestar Pegasus, will air on SciFi this November.
Pirate Master....Ya just gotta wonder how much on the up and up is the voting on this show! Each week the crew get to vote on which one of Three selected crew members will be cast adrift, or they can mutiny and boot off the captain. Now I know a lot of the crew is fed up with the present Captain. Louie, the crewman with the beard and long hair being one of the most annoyed with him. Yet when it comes time to vote on person A,B, or C, or mutiny, both times now the vote has been unanimous for a particular crew member. Whaz up with dat? On Survivor you had some dissension, some folks wanted A gone, and some would vote for B. But two unanimous votes in a row for someone who in my opinion did not seem to be that annoying just kinda makes me wonder if they are all just mindless sheep with no thoughts of their own, or is the voting rigged by the producers? HANK.

Pirate Master: Last week's vote went 5-4, with the third person getting 0 votes. And of course no Mutiny.
That there are no votes for Mutiny is simple. Mutiny must be unanimous by those voting.
Scenario: Louie pushes for Mutiny. (Like he'll do.) Most people agree. However, one person says that (s)he will definitely not vote for Mutiny. If Louie actually votes Mutiny, and there is no Mutiny, his vote won't directly affect who actually gets kicked off.
If you know there will not be a Mutiny, you better make your vote count. And while there's a non-officer that's bribed to not vote Mutiny, Mutiny will not be unanimous.
I'm curious what happens when there's a tie. Does the Captain choose?!?
I'm interested in tonight's episode. The current Captain better make his crew a bit happier, or else he risks losing it.. All he needs is the opposite team to win the challenge, and the new captain will send him to the chopping block.

I agree with "Louie." The Captain puts on his new hat and things get wishy-washy.....A very bad "English" accent??? What is that all about? I think he will do OK as a captain. He did already share the winnings with his little group. I can't see him lasting a long time as captain, though.

I don't see him lasting either. he made a major mistake when he chose the three for the black spot. if i were him i would have put all three of the previous officers so that at least one of them would be gone.

Hey. Pretty cool on Atlantis last night. The opening scene with Ronnin and Rodney. The sticks they were using for practice are the same ones we use for long sword training for Sword School!

Fairemonrita....Tend to agree with ya luv. I often wonder what critique the people on those shows use for voting someone out, as a lot of the times it makes no sense! Some of the people I would give the boot to the first day seem to hang in there forever. I think if I were ever on a show like that I would either be the first one voted off, as I do not suffer fools well. OR, I would be the final winner as I would kill and eat the rest of them.
HEY!!! Now that would be a cool idea for a new show. CANNIBAL CHIEF. Instead of voting anyone out, you cook em and eat em. Could be a huge hit with Hannibal Lecter, and Jeffery Dommer.
HMMMM. Now who do I have to call in Hollywood? This could be a gold mine! HANK.

FYI....For any fans of the show DRIVE, and I don't guess there were too many as the show got yanked after three episodes. Well it is coming back on starting Wed. July 4th. (Fox, at 8:00 PM) I think all they will do is finish out the episodes they had already filmed so when they are done, it is done.
Doctor Who is returning to SciFi Friday July 6th at 8:00 PM. SG-1's old time slot.
HANK.

For all you PBS people out there, The History Detectives will be starting a new season this coming Monday. Also on Mondays, started this last Monday, is Simon Schama's Power of Art. The first two featured Van Gogh, and Picasso, respectively. The next episode will feature Caravaggio.

Lady Catherine....What show are you referring to, Drive? Just thought we should make that clear as there are a lot of weird, strange shows on TV anymore. Have you seen that new show on Wed night, Traveler? That certainly fits the description as well.
Yeah, Drive is just a bit implausible to say the least. But! I'm a gearhead, and it does have a couple of nice cars on the show, so I will watch for that reason alone.
As for traveler, I don't know who is dumber, the FBI cuz they can't seem to catch two idiot kids, or the two idiot kids who have every cop in the US of A looking for them as would be terrorists and don't have sense to affect a disguise. And why the hell would anyone try to implicate these two schmucks in the first place? I mean if you want to blow up the museum then blow up the damn museum and be done with it! Don't complicate things.
These writers need to come up with plausible stories for pete sakes. I watched Painkiller Jane the other night and in the story she takes two bullets in the back to save her friend who was trying to escape the court room and the next day she is back in court for the trial fit as a fiddle and NO ONE questions the fact that "Say! didn't you just get shot yesterday?"(Her "superpower is that she heals almost instantly from any wound, in case you've not seen the show.) You would think that in order to protect this "secret" power she has she would stay out of sight for awhile.
O'well, enough babbling..Catch ya later. HANK. )

These writers need to come up with plausible stories for pete sakes. ORIGINAL stories would be nice, too.....hubby and I saw an ad last night for the new CBS drama, "Moonlight," about a vampire private investigator who fights both human criminals and demons while trying to maintain a relationship with a mortal woman. Yeah, I think that's been done. (And seeing as it was done by Joss Whedon.....I don't hold out much hope for Moonlight.) Erin

And if I remember correctly either FOX or CW has something similar in the works for next season as well.
