KAT...Can't speak for anyone else here, but as for myself, I would like to try and get there for the opening gate ceremony (10:00 AM. ??) (assuming they even have one....As this is a new faire for everyone, I have no idea just what they are doing) I think there was a web site listed somewhere on this thread you can plug into and find out more info. HANK.

It doesn't matter what time is "Opening Gate".
If they don't open till noon, who cares? If we all show up at 10:00, we'll just have 2 hours of tailgating. (For some of us, that might not be much different than if they opened at 9:00AM.)
So, 10:00AM target time?

So the PUB is dry, huh? interesting. I looked up the word pub in the dictionary and it said: a bar, or a tavern. So I looked up tavern. And it says: A place where liquors, beers, etc are sold to be drunk on the premises; A saloon.
So! I take that to mean that they do not have a DRY PUB!! they have no pub at all. They simply have a SOFT DRINK STAND! No biggie as far as I'm concerned. I've only had one beer at Faire in the last 7 years. The prices are just too high, and they only accept Confederate money, so I don't bother with them.!! Besides, I'm kinda the designated driver. HANK.

I, for one, was never one to give a hoot about opening ceremonies, so I don;t care if I see it or not. I believe Morwyn and I are targeting a 9:30 arrival time.

Sadly. It doesn't look like this faire is in the cards for us this year either The weekend we were thinking might possibly work, turns out to be the last weekend of camping. So I have to be out there to close everything up and put everything away.

Bah! Phooey! Well, sometimes mundane life interferes with faire life. That's just the way it goes!

Yeah, this year really sucks with the car problems and the severe lack of funds.

So, is everyone still going? No one's punking out are they? LOL Looks like the weather is going to be quite chilly - only 50 degrees for th high on Saturday, and overcast (30% chance of rain). I check weather.com a lot. I'm anal that way. Wear your winter garb folks!

Scarlet my dear... Baring sudden unexpected DEATH, Pirate Dave, his lady Jen, Bunnie and myself plan on being there. I don't know about garb as mine is pretty light weight Summer fare. I could wear it I suppose, but it would be hidden by my Carhartts. HANK.
