Hank. Two and a Half men is about a man (Charlie) who lets his divorced brother (Alan) move it. His brother also has a teenage son (Jake) who stays occasionally with them. Hence the half.
You really should check it out. It is quite hilarious. Full of 'guy' humor. Especially since Charlie is a whoring booze hound and Alan is a straight laced uptight type.

Hank, Chuck starts back January 24 with 2 new epidsodes. Chuck, Apprentice, Chuck.
I like 2 & 1/2 men. Can be very funny sometimes.

KAT...Thanks for the heads up on "Chuck." WOW!! Two whole episodes huh? Then what, it's off the air for another two months? Damn these networks and their goofy schedules! I also noticed they moved it from Monday to Thursday. I will have to maybe check out this two and a half men. If it isn't on opposite something I watch already. I see where Lost and Jericho are returning shortly.
Apprentice alway made me wonder, Why would you want to work for that asshole Donald Trump anyway? Some of these "reality shows" crack me up. Why the hell would I spend an hour in front of the TV watching fat people lose weight? And who the hell are Bruno and Carrie Ann, and why would I care that they can dance? I think these networks are scraping the bottom of the barrel for some of this stuff! HANK.

Unfortunately, there are lots of people who do watch "reality" shows, they are big money makers. If the strike lasts much longer, you will be seeing a lot more of them. "Reality" shows don't need writers.

I'm looking forward to Lost. I hate reality shows, but this strike has hurt those of us who want quality T.V. Bill and I have been watching Two and a Half Men since day 1. Guy humor or not it's one funny show Sue

Jasmine is correct.Reality shows are cheap to produce, ya don't need writers, ya don't need to hire actors at a zillion dollars an episode...Just get a bunch of folks off the street who want their "15 minutes of fame" and come up with something idiotic for them to do and you're in business! Same goes for game shows like "Deal or no Deal." Get a few folks with a modicum of smarts who can jump up and down when they answer a question correctly and you're good to go.
Not that some of them aren't entertaining, I love "Survivor" for example. They mange to find 16 of the stupidest people on the planet and stick them in some God forsaken location for a month. NOW THEN!!! Since YOU have to want to be on the show and do this...don't you think it would be to your advantage to maybe learn some survival skills before you go there? You know, things like how to build a shelter, start a fire, build a trap to catch food. You put these idiots in a real survival situation like you see on "Survivorman" or "Man vs Wild" and they would probably all be dead within a week. Either they would starve, or something would eat them. NOW!!! That would be fun to watch! HANK.

HEARYE, HEARYE! Be it know all you SciFi and Firefly fans that this evening at 8:00 PM begins a new show called Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles. It is on FOX. Now what channel that is on your system I don't know since all these cable and satellite systems are different who will have to figure that part out yourselves.
The Firefly tie in is that Summer Glau plays the part of the terminator. If it is anything like the movies there should be enough action to hold my interest for an hour. HANK.

Hank, A friend of ours tried to get on survivor but when they checked him out they said he had survival skills and could not use him. They want unskilled people makes a better show I guess. Sue

I missed the first 25 or so minutes of the Sarah Connor Chronicles, but, it was pretty good. I will watch again tomorrow night and see if I will keep it on my "line up."
Let's hope the writer's strike ends soon. My daughter has just been lay ed off due to the strike.

Hey Kat sorry to hear that about your daughter. What does she do out there. Dang where is their union?? Jennifer works for Technicolor. She makes sure the movies are spliced together properly. She works the graveyard shift and they have put that shift on hold due to the strike. Her union said she has to claim unemployment because she doesn't meet the requirements for strikers pay. She can't claim until Februaury for some reason. Her husband also works for Technicolor, but still has his job, for now. There is talk that he may be laid off also. My mom has been in a couple of strikes in LaLa Land because she used to do wardrobe. These strikes affect a lot of people. Craft services, make up, hair, wardrobe, electricians, gaffers, directors, carpenters, sound people, foley people, I could keep going....a whole bunch of people are out of work due to the writer's strike. Don't get me wrong, I agree with them, but let's give them what they want and get people back to work.

I'm all for people getting their fair share, but I have precious little sympathy for either side. All both sides are doing is making things worse for the entire industry, which isn't doing too good to begin with. Enough already, strike a deal and get back to work!

Face it folks. The strike is going to last quite a while longer. The studios aren't going to get serious about negotiating until it really starts to hurt their bottom line. And that won't happen until they run out of new shows to air and the ratings plummet. Or until they run out of movies to release (don't forget this strike also affects the big screen movies also). So, I don't see any real negotiations taking place until at least late February.
Another thing to consider. The screen actors guild (SAG) will probably be going on strike this summer, as that is when their contract runs out.
