Thought I would start this to see who has noticed any faire advertising. Kind of a way to let John know which messages are getting out, and where they are being noticed.
I know I have heard radio commercials on at least 3 radio stations. And Britny said she saw a few billboards while out doing her drving lessions (have either been too sleepy, or in too much of a hurry to notice any billboards this week.)
Also saw the Alpacca guy in the Conneaut 4th of July parade on Saturday. He had a GLMF banner on his vehicle with the alpacca.

The News-Herald had a front page story about the Friday Media Day. Heather aka Pooka was pictured.

I've been hearing ads on the radio at work constantly. And depending on the manager working, that's between 4 different stations. There is even a radio station holding a contest for a 4-pack of tickets.

Heard ONE mention of it on WBBG 106.1..Youngstown station. nothing on Y 103..station I normally listen to out in the garage ( the signel comes in good, and the music ain't bad)
Have seen NO billboard advertising. Like Blacknight, saw the photo's on the front page of the News Herald. No mention in the Plain Dealer, even in their "thing in the area to do section" in the Friday magazine.
HANK.

Haven't heard anything on the local radio stations here in Erie - of course, Hack mentioned in another thread that Clear Channel stations are carrying the ads, and we don't have a Clear Channel affiliate in the city (there might be one with a bit of overlap, but not that come in on my car stereo).
My husband said he saw one billboard, up by the Millcreek Mall.
Oh, and although I haven't heard any ads or anything, other people heard somewhere that tickets would be on sale at Giant Eagle...and they're not (at least they weren't as of Saturday, 6/30). I was there asking about tix - I get them there every year, and was told "they were supposed to have them but didn't yet."

Saw a bilboard up the other day. Can't remember exactaly where it was though. I think Southington. 534 passes right through it, so I'm going to assume thats where It was.
And I do a pretty good job of talking the faire up myself. Just about every customer at Jo-Anns that I talk to ends up hearing about it one way or another. I've got a lot of people interested, and one of my fellow employees just bought three tickets online the other day so her and her family could go durning Pirate weekend. ^_^
I'm good.

I have seen at least 3 or 4 billboards between my house in Ashtabula and my in-laws in Perry. My daughter points them out to me.

We listen to Star 97 at work and I hear the ads on it! Makes me smile when I do!

stephanieann - you are in Meadville, and you can get a Clear Channel affiliate? Huh. I just searched Clear Channel's website, the closest to Erie are either Pittsburgh or Ashtabula -- neither of which seem to have strong enough signals to reach Erie (at least not where I live/drive/work!). I'm bummed.

Really? I know when I go to Erie, I can still pick up 97.1 and 107.5 easily. Just like over here I get the Erie stations 100.9 and 102.3, though they do end up getting canceled out by other stations that are very close to it on the dial (100.7 & 102.5) Though the college station 90.5 still comes in nice and clear all the way to faire.

I've only heard the ads at work, because I don't normally listen to the radio.
I make a Fetching Mix CD every year to listen to on my way up. ^_^

Haven't heard anything yet because I haven't been listening to the radio much lately, but last year I did hear an ad for the faire on WKDD, and it ran quite a few times. Hopefully it's running again this year, and will get people from south of the Cleveland area up to the faire.

Billboard on Rt. 322 between Middlefield and Mespo! And of course I'm telling EVERYONE I encounter. Plan to do a few local press releases next week (too busy this week) myself about Black Ox in my neck of the woods.
