I must admit, I too love the song. Of course, I'm somewhat of a fan for cartoon characters, especially older ones, and t.v. show theme songs, too!! I know, geek alert! A well, such is life! Riding in the car with my son last night reminded me of some songs I absolutely can't stand. Of course, him being who he is in general, and in specific being a teen, he absolutely loves them, and wants to listen to them every chance he gets! Sorry, now I can type again, had to stop twitching first. One song is called Pain, don't know the group. Some of the others are more rap/hip hop genre, which I like usually, but come on, a song called "Slappin That" by Eminem and Acon. I know there are others of that ilk but can't think of them now. Anyway, anyone who has ever heard the song will get the drift!

'Don't Worry, Be Happy' by Bobby McFerrin Got to be the most insipid, idiotic, irritating song ever written! And far from making me HAPPY, it has the effect of making me want to run out into the street with a machine gun and start blasting away! Preferably at McFerrin first!!!!

Hey, I like that song! It just gets played too often. And McFerrin is an amazing musician who's done stuff other than that infamous song.

Xpunkgrlx, I knew that I'd heard the name of the group, I just couldn't remember it at the time of the post! Thanks! My son and I were talking about the song when he was listening to it yet again in the car. I like the music and the lead singers voice, I think, is very good, I just don't like the lyrics. Especially not when it's my kid listening to them. Not really a concept I want him indulging in, so to speak.

Jaz, I'll not dispute your claim that Bobby McFerrin is a good musician. He so irritated and offended me with that one song that I never bothered to check out anything else he'd done. And it takes a LOT to set me off that badly from the get-go! Uggh! Still and forever the single most inspid, idiotic song ever penned!
And while I'm at insulting music that you like, ( hey, we may be great friends, people, but we never claimed to share the same taste in music!) in honor of their concert at Blossom tonight, I've got to say that I absolutely DESPISE Rush!
Geddy Lee's voice is what does it....like nails on chalkboard to me!!! AAAUURRRRGGGGG!

Well, we obviously don't agree much on music, but I'll go along with you wholeheartedly on the Carrie Underwood! I wouldn't use my name either, and quite frankly, what I DID carve would be in her ass! ( Not to mention going all Lorena Bobbit on him, and using a blender instead of tossing it out the car window!!!) Hummm.....perhaps this is part of the reason I don't date much!??!!

How odd! Dill, you despise Rush, and SwordSchoolGroupie you love Rush. And me, hell, I didn't even know Limbaugh could sing. Shows ya what I know! HANK.

Hank, I am sure you know some stuff by Rush. They have been around since the 70's and have an awesome catalog of material that I am sure you have heard on the radio.
Tom Sawyer Limelight 2112 New World Man Fly by Night Working Man Closer to the Heart Big Money
And a ton more that don't get nearly enough radio play.
