And all this time I thought the CHICKEN came from the EGG!! Guess I should 'ave paid more attention in biology class. Silly me.
To SSG. I think I know why you may be confused. The chicken Master Turk supplied was from Giant Eagle in Chardon. The chicken John and Tina (aka Hepz) would bring to the meet and greet was from Wally World. Hope this clears things up for you. HANK.

Enough talk of Wally World, chickens and eggs! Let's git this thread back on track and talk about movies and such. Ultraviolet opened yesterday. Bun and I will try to hit the theater tomorrow and catch it. I'll let you know what I think of it. Just off the top of my head, from what I've seen of the previews on TV, it looks very similar to a movie I saw a couple of months ago called "Aeon Flux" For you Harry Potter fans; be it known that this Tuesday (3-7-06) the "Goblet of Fire" will be out on DVD. For you Trevor..."King Kong" will hit DVD March 28. So you can watch it in the comfort of your living room and have a smoke. April 4th. "The Chronicles of Narnia" hits the stores.
If there are any fans of the old 60s TV show "The Avengers" be it known that a 17 disc, 51 episode DVD set "The Avengers: Complete Emma Peel Megaset" is on store shelves. I will have to check into that. I LOVED the Avengers, and Emma Peel. HANK.

I too loved the Avengers, but I am afraid to know what that set will cost Another one I have seen comercials for that I might actually catch in the theaters. The Hills Have Eyes I realize this is yet another remake But I don't rememeber ever seeing the original so I might catch this as it does look interesting.

ULTRAVIOLET...This is your typical Chinese chopsocky film. For those of you not familiar with that term, that is what I call any Chinese martial arts film that is heavy on the action (fight scenes) but light on the story. In Ultraviolet you have the heroine UV who is a hemophage/vampire and you have the humans who are the bad guys. And they engage in numerous battles, some for no discernible reason, other then to have more action take place on the screen. They are both after this boy who has some sort of Antigen/pathogen in his blood (they vacillate on that point a lot) that will kill the hemophages. cure the hemophages. kill the humans. Take your pick.
I would say the kids can see it. The fight scenes are great, but bloodless. If they can watch Star wars or Lord of the Rings then they can watch this. This is one of those movies where the bad guys can expend 50 million rounds of ammunition, shoot up the entire city and not hit one chick on a motorcycle. But out numbered 700 to 1 she kills them all. Lots of nice sword fighting scenes. I'd rate it a B. HANK.

As for the "Hills have Eyes" Hell, by now they should ears, nose and throats also! They have remade this movie so many times it's absurd. I saw the original, lo these many years ago. You would think Hollywood could come up with some new ideas once in awhile.
Heck, look at your zombie movies: you have Night of the Living Dead. Dawn of the Dead. Mid afternoon of the Dead. Twilight of the Dead. Middle of the Night of the Dead.Early evening of the Dead. Early Morning of the Dead. It's Daylight savings Time of the Dead. I think they have had dead people wandering around at every time of day imaginable. Give it a rest already. HANK.

She finally didn't look anorexic in this movie like she usually does. The movie had a comic book look to it due to the enhance colorization throughout. Story..well..blah...

Trevor...Yes, catch Ultraviolet, you will definitely like it. Lots of action, just short on plot. I think the next one I want to see is that "V is for Vendetta." The previews show a lot of action and explosions, things I love in a movie!
Saw previews for a comedy called "Little Man" by the Wayen brothers that looked hilarious. I might have to check that one out also. HANK.

Yes...V looks like it has a much better story. It has a great cast with Natalie Portman, Hugo Weaving, and John Hurt...but I am not sold on Hugo being an action star...
