Oh yah...just thought of someone who is desperately needed (and probably doesn't get paid enough for doing a job that is integral to the smooth running of the Faire)
TINKLE THE PRIVY FAIRY AND HER ENTOURAGE!!!
Believe me, for as many Faires as I have been to, when Tinkle took care of the Privies...they were clean and well supplied. I also love how she interacts with folks...her little "Privy Book" and her magic stones. (My niece still has her magic stone that Tinkle gave her 4 years ago!)
BRING BACK TINKLE! BRING BACK TINKLE! BRING BACK TINKLE!
Oh...AND THE PICKLE LADY! She rocks too!!

That's right, let the rumors be squashed: It looks like we WILL be back this year.
Looking forward to it! I'll get the website updated today. (You guys are so loved, you get "pre-website" info.)

Ooohh, Black Knight, prithee, tell me you jest!! I see your post was from January last! I do hope these things you speak of don't come to pass!! I must admit, the goings on of this last off season, have left me in an unsettled mood about my former beloved faire!! I'm a person that tries to "not throw the baby out with the bathwater", though, so I'm trying verrry, veerrryy, hard to be optimistic. Howere, you hit it straight on the head with "trepidation". I must admit, I'm feeling that this year, this close to the start of the usually highly anticipated festivities/activities in the shire! I'm trying to hold on to hope though! Not long to wait, eh?!

It seems to me that a lot of our complaints last season received the stock answer "the cast is the biggest ever" and therefore under-rehearsed, under-supervised, under-experienced.
Although I regret losing anyone who contributed to the magic, maybe there is a silver lining to the cast reduction. At least, large size won't be an avaiable catch-all excuse. But if they start blaming any problems on the cast being too small....
(ducking and running now)
