But the oboe lady can probably play in tune! Better to know only one song and play it in tune, than several songs and none of them in tune. ("Amazing Grace" out of tune is a travesty, especially when you must listen it several times a day!) Completely agree. Funny how I never got tired of any of the Rogues music at all in 2004.

While I wouldn't mind having the Rogues back again, I sure wouldn't mind razzing Bryan Blaylock again, even though a lot of people are upset about his new group. I guess I feel bad from Randy that everyone basically deserted him, and that does kinda suck, but I miss Bryan and his Fergie jokes, and me calling him a burnie wearing lowlander . . .
Well, anyways, unless things change, we won't have either one back. Let's keep hope in our hearts, eh?

Yep...that Bryan...Jimmy from the Rogues left The Rogues (fear not, The Rogues already have another piper, Jeremy who is BETTER than Jimmy by all independant accounts who have heard him play). Anyway...Jimmy, Lars and Bryan formed "Scottish Mayhem"...and going through the "back door" to take alot of The Rogue's gigs. They even claim on their site:
Scottish Mayhem consists of Lars Sloan, Bryan Blaylock and Jimmy Mitchell, all former and founding members of the Scottish Rogues. With Six Grammy Award Nominations, they have been entertaining fans all over the world since 1995
Now..SCOTTISH MAYHEM have NOTbeen entertaining fans all over the world since 1995, so that is mis-information and SCOTTISH MAYHEM have NOT had 6 Grammy Award nominations...THE ROGUES ( a group, not an individual) have been nominated...so I really look at this as a cheap shot to use Rogue popularity for "Mayhem" hype...
My Gods...Bryan and Lars on the same stage...the size of the stage to hold both of those egos will have to be enormous...

i like the original rouges of scotland but they would nt seem like the rouges without big mouth bryan.... scotland rising was OK but I missed the red headed piper. so now they have a third band??
as to the shawm. i knew it wasn't and oboe - i was in high school band. it was the closest thing i could think of to describe it. it's the thing they play when they want to mezmerize cobras out of baskets. course in all actually it the cobra is tone deaf and it isn't the music - it's the swaying back and forth that the musician does that calms the snake.

Well, as it is anyways right now, we won't have either one, or so it appears. We'll get choice (C), whoever that happens to be . . .
Best to all of you.

Scotland Rising .. yes .. the Bryan that rudely jumped in Jon's face from Menagerie ... out in the middle of faire ... during a faire day. The Bryan that patrons ran up to help Jon thinking he was going to get hit ... nope, don't like him or his being drunk on stage or his 'better than thou' attitude. Lizzie

Lizzie The Bryan that would belittle members of his own band, on stage....in front of public...Yah...THAT Bryan...I see his reputation proceeds him...

Got a lovely E-Mail...evidently from someone close to "Wannabe Rogues" and I thought I would share it with you...
Denise *blocked out your E-Mail addie, no thanks are necessary* wrote: Actually, you are nothing but negative. In all your posts, no matter what it's about. Why the long debate. Who gives a shit.
My response....
Evidently...you..... And your whiny ass opinion means....what to me? Just curious..... ;D

I don't find you to be a negative person. On the contrary, usually you are more optomistic than I expect. Maybe they have a problem with you being 'honest'.

Hmmmm...ya think?
Thanks, Trev....
Ya know...the thing that just ticked me off is, as a "consumer"...putting up with false advertisement and being lied to and thinking that anyone has to accept it...
