Sounded like a hurricane yesterday night.
Too much baseball, too much football, too much basketball, all interfering with my favourite TV programs!!! Enough already!!!

I don't know how we got from "How much Snow" to discussing TV shows on this thread; Lack of snow I guess.
Jasmine...I must agree with Trevor. From conversations with you my dear you seem to watch a lot of PBS and BBC, neither of which carry MLB, NFL, or NBA games to my knowledge. Hell, I believe MLB is carried on its own network which is pissing off all the baseball fans who don't have cable and only get ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX.
Like Trevor, most all the shows I was watching aren't even on any more; whether due to the writers strike, the totally screwy schedules they have anymore where shows start in September, run till December, go on hiatus till Feb. or March and resume again till April or May. Or they just plain went off the air due to low ratings. This year there were actually a number of shows on the networks I enjoyed watching. Things like "Chuck" " Journeyman" and "Reaper," none of which are on anymore. Mostly I watch Discovery, History, SciFi. I used to like TLC, but now all they have are shows about midgets, getting tattoo's and flipping houses so I have pretty much given up on them except for American Chopper, but that is all reruns now too.
I have taken to watching a lot of reruns of CSI, CSI Miami, and Law and Order. And a lot of those plots are utterly preposterous. If the "criminals" would invoke their Miranda rights and shut the frack up and not confess everything they could never prove most of it in a court of law. I watched an episode of CSI Miami last night that involve the murder of a pit crew member on a racing team that if you know cars like I do was totally implausible. I laughed thru most of the episode at their conclusions. If that is the best that the so called "writers" can do, hell, let em stay on strike and hire some high school kids who want to be writers to replace them, they couldn't do much worse.
As for snow...There ain't any here. And it can stay that way as far as I am concerned. ;D HANK.

It was a general complaint, guys. There is always some damn sporting event interrupting or pre-empting some of my favourite shows, be it baseball, football, or basketball (I don't get March Madness, I just get mad in March because my shows get bumped for basketball!). I have no cable so I cannot watch BBC. Some of my programs have a few new episodes which they seem to be rationing out. Maybe I won't have to worry about March Madness, because by then there won't be anything to watch! At least I can catch up on my reading.

The snow returned today...uh, make that yesterday, I forgot it is after midnight. As snowy days go it wasn't too bad; about 2 inch's on the cars, maybe 1 inch on the ground. The ground was warm so I think that melted some of the "early" snow, then it cooled down and the later snow stuck. The trees looked pretty with all the snow on them, like something you would see in a picture of a winter scene. The roads were clear, so driving was not a problem. Hell! I didn't even bother to plow, an inch of snow ain't worth the trouble. I might have to tomorrow though. HANK.

We are getting a good dusting. Liam woke me this morning to drive him to school because the roads are getting covered. We always told him if he felt uncomfortable driving in snow to wake us up and we will take him. He bought a 1994 Chevy Camaro and they are not much of a winter car. Plus, he has only had his license for about a year and never driven in snow. Mike did take him out during our last snow fall to a huge parking lot (Lincoln Electric) and showed him how to drive in snow and ice. He still is a little "skittish." Especially after we hit a telephone pole and my sister hit me. :-)

We got about four inch's yesterday. I was out plowing for most of the afternoon and it was still snowing when I put the plow away, so I imagine I will be doing it again today. I will find out soon enough I guess. I just now heard the plow truck go down the street.
Kat...How are you making out with your car, get it back from the body shop yet? I think I would make sis pay the deductible for this one. I hope she took out the insurance on the rental car she hit you with. Good luck to Liam. You either learn to drive in snow if you are going to live in this part of the country, or you hibernate for 6 months out of the year! HANK.

I was "allowed" to bring my car in on Monday. So it is at the shop. Enterprise is paying for my rental car. So far the damage is at $2,800.00. My sister did get the extra rental car insurance. Good for her. Enterprise will only allow work on a vehicle to start on a Monday. This is ridiculous! Even the insurance man that came out to take pics of the car says it is stupid. Then I have to cover the rental car with insurance since it is my choice to have a car. Luckily my regular car insurance will cover it, because Enterprise insurance is $15 a day. I would have had my sister pay for it. She has no deductible since she got full rental coverage. It has been a pain in the butt more because of Enterprise. Hopefully my car won't take to long and then it is going to sit in my garage until I am done paying it off!!!! ;D
I started this reply to answer Bunnie's question about the house. We have heard nothing! Zero! Zip! Until I started this reply. I typed maybe 4 words and my phone rings. Can we come over in about an hour to view the house? You bet! Good timing on Bunnie's part. Thank you! Have no idea what they think or if anything will come of it but at least someone came to look at it.

How much Snow? Too damn much!! got about 6 inches on the ground here. Got part of it plowed till the hydraulics on the plow froze up, at that point I pulled it back in the garage and said the "Hell with it!" Man! is it cold out there! Water froze up in the garage also, turned the furnace on to try and thaw pipes out before they burst. The road in front of my house is pretty clear, so I would think the main roads are fine for anyone going to the 12th Night Feast this evening, just leave a little early and drive safely.
Well...Guess I should head back down to the garage and see what has thawed out. Catch ya later. HANK.

Well, we got nothing yesterday, but this morning it kicked in big time. At 5:30 break we still had no new snow. At 7:30 when I left it was coming down hard. Car had a decent dusting of the fluffy type snow. Visibility was poor on the drive home. Now, about half an hour after getting home, there is almost an inch of snow on the car already.
