We only had a super light dusting yesterday. Basically could see a little white at the edges of the sidewalk. Today is a bit more. You can still see the grass sticking up through the snow, but the way it is coming down, it might all be covered by the end of the day. Still nothing to worry about yet. If it stays at this level of snow, I won't mind.

SNOW: Not much of a problem, not very deep, and really too crusty to be blowing around all that much. Did not have to brush off the car windows, had to SCRAPE off the car windows as the rain that preceded the snow froze everything that landed there. The wind is the big problem. Walking from my garage to the house this morning the wind cut thru you like a Jedi Lightsaber, and I was wearing Carharts! Like C.T.L. said, hunker down and ride it out, it won't last forever, stay inside if possible and just binge watch your favorite shows, or read a book, or just pull the covers over your head and take a nap.
If you do have to go out for work or what have you, be safe, drive careful, and be wary of black ice cuz it is slippery as hell in spots. So, keep the shiny side up and stay out of the ditches. Oh yeah, MERRY CHRISTMAS YA ALL.

It's been nasty here. Like you, not a lot of snow, but a lot of blowing. And COLD!
Thankfully, I didn't have to go anywhere today. They canceled work before I left yesterday. So I slept in, then stayed on the couch under a blanket getting caught up on stuff on the DVR.
After I made dinner and sat down to the computer, the power went out. At least dinner was done. I ate and went to sleep. Woke up at 11:30 and the power was back.
Furnace is still trying to catch up.

How did it go with the brownies? were they saveable or did you have to scrap em and start over? Bunnie showed me your face book post. Glad you did not have to go to work, yesterday was a good day to just stay inside.
You lost power way later than we did. Ours went out around 2:00PM and did not return until 6:00PM. Had to fire up the secondary heat source (propane heater) to keep the house somewhat warm. Like you I was watching some shows I had recorded till the blackout happened, then I worked the crossword puzzle in the newspaper for a while, then I threw a blanket over me and took a nap in the chair. Not much you can do without power is there?
How are the dogs handling this cold? You have to leave em out to do their business from time to time, bet they don't dilly dally, it's poop and run back to the house I bet.

We lost power about 6:30. Brownies look ok, will be testing them later today. Getting ready to run to the store in a little bit (that should be fun)
Our secondary heat source is the stove. I fired up all 4 burners. The kitchen stayed nice and warm. The living room wasn't too bad. The rest of the house was pretty cold though. I really need to look into getting a gas insert for that fireplace. Would be really nice in a power failure. That or I could go through all the trouble of getting a power inverter, and doing the wiring to run the furnace off a car battery. But for what all that would cost me, I bet I'd be further ahead with the gas insert.
Yeah, the dogs haven't been spending too much time outside. The puppy, Leo, has actually been playing out there more than Teddy. He's like screw this, it's nice in the house. I'll just lay by the door, and suck up the cold draft instead. Today, he got out on the porch and wouldn't come in for over an hour though. He likes the cold, but I think it was the wind he wasn't a fan of.

Good luck going to the store, we just got home ourselves. Went out for breakfast in Middlefield, then a stop at the MART to pick up cat food and some other odds and ends.Main roads were clear, secondary's, not so much, though you could see pavement once in a while, probably due more to the wind then the plows. I tried shoveling a path from the back of the ocean to the house, a distance of about 10 feet and damn near froze my ass off in just the few minutes that took.
I am NOT EVEN going to fire up the blower and clean this place till the wind stops, cuz it will be just a waste of time and fuel.

Trip to store wasn't bad. We really don't have a lot of snow, and the store is only 3 blocks away. I just wasn't walking in this stuff. Really cold in the store. Feel sorry for the cashiers. They are all in their winter coats with gloves on from the doors opening all the time.

BAH, HUMBUG!! Winters back, @?* Didn't get a lot of snow, about 2 or 3 inches worth, but it was tough to snowblow. Spent more time clearing the discharge chute than I did blowing. I hate these 32 degree snows, they are wet and heavy and a bitch to blow. The good news is it will be gone in a couple of days as the temps are suppose to hit the 50's again.

Yeah. That's about how much we got too. Not enough for me to bother doing anything with it.

It's me. My computer is down for the next week. I'm on the wife's laptop and didn't want to go through all the lost password BS. It was bad enough doing that for ebay to order the replacement processor for my computer.
We didn't get squat for snow for that winter storm we were supposed to get.
Though for some reason gas prices are getting stupid again. $3.45 here now. Glad I got gas last week for 3.19.
PS - I hate the keyboard on this. It's too small and I keep having to fix half the stuff I type.

We got a couple inches of really fluffy stuff here yesterday and today. Hard to judge as it keeps warming just enough to melt a bunch of it.

We got hit pretty good Sunday. When I left the house Sunday morning to go to Hemley's in Thompson the roads were clear and a light snow was just beginning to fall. When I left to return home couldn't have been many minutes later I had to clean the car off and you could not even tell where the road was. It came down that hard and fast. Glad the traffic was very light as it was a 25 mph trip all the way home.

Overall this has been a pretty mild Winter. It was cold and snowy Friday (2/17) but not a lot of snow, the grass was covered, and I had to brush off the cars, but the driveway I could have brushed off with a broom, it was that light. Today it was 60 degrees if you could believe the thermometer hanging on the back porch. It did seem pretty warm in the sun, shady places seemed a tad cooler though.

We didn't get that warm, but we were in the 50's. But the wind was pretty cold. I know from when I took the dogs for a walk.
But yeah, we've gotten off pretty easy so far. A couple decent storms and a few smaller ones. I'm still using the partial bags of ice melt I had from last winter. Realized that when I was bringing in groceries today. Happened to notice the salt container and realized I never had to open the other bag I have.
