But you don't have kids. I can understand where Rita is coming from.
Still trying to find out if Dragon Tails will be back. (Kind of hard when the only link I have is to their YouTube page, and it hasn't been updated in ages.)
I'm pretty sure there will be plays at the fairyland stage again. We also have the Olde Caravan back again, and I know they are pretty good with kids.

Trevor, I spent about an hour searching on the internet to see if Dragon Tails was coming back, bt I can't find them on the internet anywhere. Got an e-mail about discount tickets, and it said that they started posting the acts. That leads me to believe that not all acts are posted yet. Also the description of acts on the page is still from last year, so they are still working on updating it.

Just wanted to let everyone know that even though he was not included in the recent email, Axel will be there. He's even got a new CD out this year!

Post by Captain John Stout on May 13, 2010 19:27:33 GMT -5
It is with great and terrible regret that I must inform you that you will have to put up with Captain John Stout yet one more year on the streets of Avaloch.
I know this will come as a great disappointment, since the Captain is obviously a rude and forceful person who has little to no stage appeal whatsoever and has the tendency to belch loudly and often.
Reports have it that Captain John Stout is a known to flount authority, comparing political officials to WWII Stormtroopers, and has the propensity to stand up and fight for what he believes in, and has also been known to shake a fist or two in the air in grievance.
However, if you are one of those persons to whom this type of artist appeals, then you may find him assaulting the lanes of the shire generally all day in various places around the faire. He may even find his way to playing some tunes at the pub which has sorely been missing his unique style of loquaciousness, which certain pub wenches have been deprived of in the past.
We are sorry for the forceful application of this Irish-mix transplant into your lovely little town, and hope that you can make the best of it. Lord knows, Baltimore wouldn't have him . . . .

Ahh! Sir say it is not so. I thinks the goodly citizens of this faire shire could not withstand the accompaniment of such an obvious "IRISHMEN" amongst our midst. Why the simple fact that your ballads entice people with the far flung notion of pride in heritage and coupled with your unholy wit and humor, I wonder how that you would be accepted even here? I however, enjoy a good belch and even an innuendo or two. So welcome back good sir!

Hey Good People!
Just a quick note to let you know that "Droolin' Jack" Porter will also be back at G.L.M.F. this season. Due to the budget cuts, I will only be playing in the lanes, with first-class pirate lass Jenny. We will be performing as "The Plunder Doggs". Who knows...we could see Porter & Stout playing together again sooner than we thought!

It's so good to know that somehow, somewhere, common sense prevailed. The threat of not having you at Faire made me realize how much I enjoy your music and personalities (uncouth though they be). I was missing you before you were even gone. I know that the entire GLM Faire family joins me in welcoming all of you back (Porter, Stout, Jen), even though you never really left!

I am happy that you all will be back one way or another.
The web site says that Menagerie Music will not be back. Did I miss a post? Is the family OK?

An Irishman in the Shire??? HORRORS! FINALLY! Such news (and such good news!) has allowed a small ray of sunshine in an otherwise work clouded day for me! Looking forward to Faire even more!!!

My father (who we pulled out for last year) went to join my mother Easter morning. The kids are growing, wonderful & healthy. See you all in July!

I am now a happier fan. The streets of Avaloch are going to be a happier place with Porter and Stout wondering (even if its not officially together).
Glad you're back Captain.
