I received a email from Sarah asking Menagerie to come back. It showed up on my computer in the middle of my father going into Hospice. I returned her email this past weekend telling her we'd love to come back. Waiting on a reply.........

HUZZAH!!! What great news it is to hear of your return. You and John have been missed and kept in the thoughts of many. I hope you will be doing the stage show this year, I mean while I love the intimacy in the lanes I miss the "naughty" show. Can't wait to see how big those kids have grown. Welcome back!

Woot!
Not sure which I like better. The stage show, or the lane show. Both have their pluses.

Yeah, that was 2006. Ded Bob was good, though, I much prefer Broon (who is the one that replaced Ded Bob in 2007)

You can still see Dead Bob in Michigan. He's HUGE up there. Hard to get a decent seat so go early. I get the feeling that some are worried about the entertainment this year, especially with no updates on the website by this date compared to past years. To see that Terry will not be here this year after seeing his support for this faire is disconcerting. However there are several know returning acts and until I see the rest of the offering I too will withhold any criticism. On the lighter side, how nice to see such a large number of returning cast members and some new ones as well. We have been very impressed with the growth amongst the cast and can't wait to see what they have in store this year. This faire excels at interaction with the patrons and does it well.

Broon was not actually a new addition, but returning after several years away (related in part to the fall he took during a show that almost killed him). He's actually the act that led me to GLMF (I had seen him at OHRen, the first faire I'd patronized, when I was in high school), and in that way can be credited in some small part to my time as cast and tangentially the circumstances that led to my direction of The Olde Caravan. While I'm glad he's back at GLMF, it is a shame that most of the other acts that used his stage during his hiatus (Manolete, Ded Bob, etc) no longer participate in GLMF. They are missed.

I just check the site and the acts are listed. It is unclear if we will attend this year. Very disappointed to see pirate magician not returning. I must add too that it is awful to see Terry is not back, yet they bring in the Naught Bawdy Babes? I read posts on all Terry did and he's not asked back? Appears they are losing their family friendly atmosphere. I'm not hear to make people angry with my post, nor with my opinions....however, I find it disappointing that my children had such a lovely time last year and now I see no reason to bring them back. I know you all love your faire, but for us people who bring our families there and don't dress up and play, there is not much for us.
