Back to the topic here, at least for a moment. ;D Checked out the progress Saturday.......even in the rain it looks fantastic!!! GREAT job so far and kudos to Dave, Olive and everyone else who lent a hand. It truly is going to be something special.

ALSO! While we were putting in the wood chips last week, we were talking about some other considerations for the garden.. And Olive got a sweetbush for us too! That just smells soooo nice...
Also, Olive had a great idea.. There's one low spot that got standing water when it rained pretty hard.. Instead of filling it in, line it with stones for a riverbed appearance. If it has standing water, even better!

I agree. I was looking at that spot today, and river-rocks would be great there.

I think so too! I love stuff like that. But take into consideration the standing water/skeeter thing.

Oh, the standing water was due to slow drainage in the low spots. It drains, just not right away because of the large amount of rain we had first two weekends.... We hope it's a dry riverbed most of the time!!

Walked through the gardens this weekend. It is so pretty. The new additions are lovely. I think you all did a fantastic job.

Bring me a shrubbery! Or maybe a nice arborvitae or some other evergreen looking things. What do you think?

Again, low light may be a problem, altho they'd look great. Olive will know................
