Went to visit Bunnie this morning and she is doing quite well. She had gone to therapy earlier and was sitting in a chair watching TV when I got there, and her pain level had decreased by 50%.
She has a whole list of DONT'S. Things she is not suppose to do when she gets home. Stuff like, no bending, no twisting, no cartwheels, no trying to see "how low can you go" in a limbo contest, no picking up of 400 lb rocks like them folks in the World's Strongest man contests. OK, OK, so I made a couple of those up, but still, probably not a good idea to try em.
Gotta go. Since she is coming home tomorrow I gotta get this place cleaned up.

Yeah, the not knowing how long part sucks, because if it is quick and you leave and aren't there you look like an asshole. But if it takes a few hours and you stay there, you waste all that time, plus you are bored and totally uncomfortable.

Ran across something today I don't believe I have ever encountered before in my 80 years of living, nor in my travels to 45 of the 50 new nighted states of America.
Middlefield has two Marathon gas stations. The one I usually buy from has EVERYTHING: Gasoline, three flavors, 87, 89, 93. Diesel fuel, off road diesel, non ethanol gasoline, kerosene, 116 octane racing fuel, hell, they even sell white gas out of a pump for the Amish lanterns.
On the West end of town we have a new Marathon station that just recently opened. It was some off brand station previously, then they switched. As I drove past them today I noticed there price was $3.09 a gallon. Best I've seen around, So, even though I had filled up a few days ago I thought I would "top off" because of the bullshit going on in the middle east tween the Jews and the towel heads, who knows, tomorrow it could be ten dollars a gallon.
SO! Here is where the STRANGE comes into play. I pull up to the pump and the ONLY flavor they have is 87 Octane regular. I don't mean they are out of the other stuff, I mean this is the ONLY button on the pump, NO 89 or 93, just the regular. I cannot ever remember going to a gas station that only had one blend of gasoline before. Struck me as odd is all. Anyone else EVER encounter this?

That is strange. I have never seen that. Closest I have ever seen was back in the day when you only had 2 choices. Regular and Leaded.
Speaking of gas. It dropped below $3 here. $2.97 when I went by Clark today. So, tomorrow I will make a run on Lake Rd and see how low that is. I just dropped below half a tank so it will be worth stopping.

Glad I got gas yesterday, at $2.97, because it's up to $3.17 today.

Same here Trevor. That Marathon that was $3.09 on Tuesday is now at $3.29. The same 20 cent price jump as out your way.

WABBIT REPORT. Bunnie had a meeting with her back surgeon this after noon, and she is doing good. She is cleared for driving on her own and can do some bending. She still uses her walker and/or cane when going outside but is now moving around the house on her own now. Saw her before and after X-rays, her back was a mess before. She goes back to see him sometime in January.

Hey Trevor, since you probably do more on social media then me, I pretty much just do Medieval Mayhem and Rock Auto, and once in awhile try to find a how do I fix this damn thing video on utube, I was wondering do you ever hear anything from the old "Sword School" gang, like Wolfe, Jenna, Miles?
Got to wondering whatever became of em the other day. Reminiscing I guess.

Sadly, no. I have Wolfe as a friend on FB, but I don't think he has been on since Turk passed away. Never had Jenna or Miles. I know Brit used to keep in contact with Cy for a while but that was years ago, so I don't know if she hears from any of them either.
Must be something in the air. I was just thinking of Kelzar the other day at work. Don't know why, but I was suddenly wondering what ever became of him and the family.

Well, I have been way too busy since the holiday. Been enjoying the warmer weather this week. Also having fun driving in all the fog. Been really happy with the lower gas prices. Nice filling up at $2.85 a gallon.
Had to work 6 hours on Saturday. After that I spent the next 4-5 hours in the two attics. We have the main one over the house, and a second one off the bedroom. It's a small area under the roof in the back of the house and runs the entire width of the house. There is no where in there where I can stand fully upright other than right inside the doorway. From there, the roof slopes down and it gets shorter. Well, some of the last circuits I have to replace are the two lights in that attic area, and the receptacle in the upstairs bathroom. That receptacle is in the wall shared by the bathroom, and that attic. Half the wall is inside the attic, the other half is outside as the bathroom protrudes through the roof. Currently the two lights in the attic are just pull-string fixtures. I am changing that to a light switch as soon as you step in the door. I already put the switch in, and ran a wire to the first light area. But I still need to get to the other light at the other side of the attic. Which is also on the other side of the doorway. And is mounted on the back side of the bathroom. The other change is the wife would like to have a light over the medicine cabinet in that 2nd floor bathroom. So as I am rewiring the receptacle, I am also adding a light switch. So I spent those hours opening things up, investigating and just generally being miserable. Walking around hunched over, getting covered in crap being hot and sweaty. Today I made a run to Home Depot to get a few things I needed and to get a light for the bathroom. I then spent the next 5 hours doing the same crap as yesterday. Only today I was putting in boxes and making up connections. I always underestimate how much time this stuff takes. Didn't help I had to get creative. In order to run power for the light, I had to go through a double stud on the corner, then, right beside that was a 2x4 on it's side. And these are the old 2x4s that are full thickness. So I had to notch that out to run the wire, then add nail plates to protect it. Took all 5 hours to get the light installed, the new box with the switch and GFCI receptacle wired up, and a 2nd receptacle installed. By the time I cleaned up it was 7PM and I didn't feel like going up into the actual attic and hooking up the new circuit. I will save that for tomorrow after work and keep my fingers crossed that everything works. Especially since I will more than likely wire it up hot. I don't feel like killing half the upstairs to turn off the breaker for that junction box.
Hopefully next weekend I can finish those attic lights and clean up the huge mess I have made in the attic.

Gas is a bit cheaper up your way. Chardon is around $2.99. I put some gas in the ole buggy today in Middlefield and paid $3.03 a gallon. Best price I've seen was $2.83 at a Shell station in Painesville When I went to Menards Saturday.
Sounds like you've got your hands full with this wiring job, working in some very cramped spaces doesn't make it any easier. Good luck with that. At my age I wouldn't even THINK about doing that in the conditions you're dealing with.

I just keep telling myself "I only have this last circuit to replace". The last phase of that is going to be really messy. I am going to have to open up the wall in the entrance-way. It's the only way I can see to run the wires for the 3-way switch at the top of the stairs. The stud cavity it is in lines up in the hallway upstairs. So I really don't want to cut into the hardwood floors. So I need to open the wall and go across the top of the archway to get to a stud cavity I can use. What is there now, is knob-and-tube, so there is no way to use that to pull a new line.
Oh yeah. I hooked up that new circuit today, and it all works fine.
