I remember that K-Mart primer, that was good stuff. Totally forgot about it till you just mentioned it. I will have to look into different brands myself to find something cheaper. I've had good luck with Krylon, but like you say, hard to find.
Rustoleum: Like the paint, not fond of their rattle cans. Sprays fine at first, go to use the can later, nozzle plugged, ran out of propellant, some damn thing happened, I end up throwing out a lot of half (or more) full cans of the shit cuz it just WON'T spray. You have that problem?

Been meaning to ask, but kept forgetting, how did you "de-skunk" your dogs when they got hit a while back? Happened to a friend of mine many years ago and he bathed his dog, a white Samoan, in tomato juice. Worked, the dog did not stink, but he had a pink dog for a long time till the hair/fur grew out.

I hopped on the internet and found a recipe for it. Peroxide, baking soda, and dawn dish soap. Worked like a charm. The next day I bought more peroxide and mixed a new batch in a spray bottle to hit areas of the house they contaminated. They were right with the warning to use it all up and not leave it in a container though. I had a little left over and the next day, where I had left the bottle was covered with it. Luckily it was the file cabinet out on the front porch, so nothing got damaged.
Since then we have also picked up a spray bottle of stuff to have on hand.
Rustoleum - the reason I don't like it, is that it is too thick. Hard to get a nice thin coat on anything. Also it doesn't seem to hold well. I've used it on stuff outside and by the next year it's chipping and flaking off. Even when I use a primer first. Never have that problem with Krylon.

7:45PM. got home a little bit ago, it has been a LOOOOONG day! Got to the hospital at 10:00AM and left there about 4:30 PM. From there it was up to Sprawl mart to pick up a scrip and then off to dinner. Bunnie is in bed as she is wiped out.Surgery went well, but she is not able to raise her left hand above her head for the next six weeks. So no statue of liberty impressions for her.

What a pleasant surprise. Got home from the movies today to find some nice person had mowed our lawn. Was getting a bit tall. I just haven't had the time to do it what with other chores to deal with. Bunnie is still somewhat restricted with what she is able to do, and I've been busy trying to get fuel oil in the tank, Winter is coming ya know, Still working on Rick's bus, trying to get it road worthy so he can get it the hell out of my yard and go to Florida in a few weeks. He took it to Pittsburgh a week ago and on the trip home his auxiliary AC unit (the one under the bus that cools the passenger compartment) is ready to fall out on the ground. So we have to reinforce that. Throw in all the other things to do around the house, like fix the clothes dryer that died a few days ago and I've been kinda busy, so a lot of shit is being put on the back burner. Just SOOOOOO many hours in a day and I don't move as fast as I use to.

I hear you Hank. I have so many things to do, and not a lot of time to do them. Now that the weather is more comfortable, I have lots to get done. Trying to finish insulating the attic, as well as wrap up the rewire. The wife wants the front door painted. That means scraping the trim and re-priming. As my last paint job just isn't sticking, it all pealing off. So much for that exterior Kilz primer I used. I'm going to get some good old fashioned oil based primer and do it right.

I have no clue!
While we are here though, I will mention I finally got my trees cut down. They came on Wednesday, took down the two pine trees and cut the branches that were hanging over our house. Only been waiting since the end of May. If they weren't so cheap, I would have looked elsewhere. But it comes down to the old saying. Good, fast, or cheap. Pick two. I picked good and cheap. So I had to wait for them to squeeze me in their very busy schedule.

Arrived at the hospital at 6:00AM, and sat around in the lobby till 7:45 when they took her into pre-op and got the IV's and all the other junk hooked up to her. Around 8:45 they were ready to wheel her into the operating room. I was hoping to hang around pre-op and flirt with a couple of cute nurses, but no such luck, they booted me back to the lobby, where I sat around for about three hours. Shortly before noon they came and got me into post-op as the surgery was done. Hung around there for an hour or so till they got a room ready for her. She was pretty out of it as the anesthesia was wearing off still. Hung around there for a bit and then came home. (don't ask me. I have no damn clue what happened here, and no clue how to correct it. So, screw it)
She called me a little bit ago, more wide awake and coherent now and seemed in good spirits. She will stay at the hospital till Sunday and then come home.

Glad to hear things went well. I really don't know which is worse. Going to the hospital for a procedure, or taking someone to the hospital and waiting around for it to be done.

My vote is the waiting around part. If I had known it was going to take 3 hours I could of come home and got some things done around here since I am now trying to do all of my stuff as well as cover all the things Bunnie does, like cleaning the cats litter boxes.I swear, all these guys do is eat and poop. So, tomorrow I try and play catch up before I go visit her at the hospital. Right now I am going to bed as I have been up almost 24 hours, I could do that years ago but not at my age. Night y'all.
