Changing the stage decking. Replacing, and making it a little bigger.

Oh yeah. We won't be there again this weekend. Brit has practice again today and Sunday still won't work well for me this week. I really hope to get out there next weekend though.

Hey Trevor, Not to be too nosy, but, You say Brit has practice on the weekends. Pray tell, what does she practice? We couldn't make it this weekend cuz we were having a yard sale. Hopefully we can make it next weekend. Will there be clean up on Mother's Day? Cheers, Kat

She is doing a show for her school's cabaret next week. Her and several other of her friends gather at a friend's house Saturday morning. They hang out in the basement and work on their routine and practice. As well as goof of, eat, watch movies, and hang out. Since the wife is camping, I need to be home to go pick her up whenever she calls for a ride.

hey Trev....we got the nails pulled out of the overhangs for the lemodade stand so we can start looking at how we want to fix that, unless you feel like jacking up a stage. See you all Saturday.

So I will in fact, be at Faire for the ENTIRE weekend!!!! I got the front edge of Stumble faced with plywood so all i need to do is get lattice for the sides!!
This weekend I have all kinds of stuff planned. Jacking up the stage, although I think we have to do this in stages so we don't overstress the wood. Leveling up the Minstrel Manor and tearing down the Jail. Oh, and sanding some stuff to refinish so if anyone's got a palm sander, another one would be great. I have mine but two or three would be ideal.
See you all Saturday!!!

We will probably be there. I still have to post pics of the redone Stumble Inn stage.
Tearing down the jail sounds like fun! Which one is Minstrel Manor?
Still trying to figure out the best way to handle those overhangs on the lemonade stand. We had though about pulling the framing off the roof pieces themselves and mounting the framing on the building. But after working at it on Saturday, I came to discover they were put together with ring-shanked nails. Way too much work to pull apart.

I could possibly come but i have to ask my stepdad if he could drive me there. could anyone get me back to chardon? even if it is somewhere in chardon i could always walk the rest of the way home from where ever. (walmart is probably about the furthest).

Good day at site work. Missed the knocking down of the jail, but did get there in time to finish disassembling the pieces. Then we leveled the Excalibur stage, and somewhat leveled the castle backdrop. Thanks to Hank and Bunny's house jack. Got started on disassembling the Minstrel Manor stage (where Maidens IV perform). Most of the decking was off when I left. Now it is just a matter of raising it off the ground. Lagging the framing together, then putting the decking back on. Before I forget, here is a quick pic of the new improved Stumble Inn stage. Still in progress though. Come on out and join us for the fun. There is lots left to do. Still have to move some structures over to Fairydust Lane. Repair the platform at the storytelling tree. Fix the overhang on the lemonade stand by the Stumble Inn. And a bunch of other fun things.
