We should be there for a few hours in the morning. But then I will have to come home to take a nap before going to work Sunday night.

Well, we're back from the first day of site clean-up. (knocked off early as I need to get a nap before going to work tonight)
Cleared some space in the feast hall for rehersals. Took care of a tree that fell across the main road while we were there today. (it was up in the morning, and down just a little before noon. Good thing Bob brought his chainsaw) Started in fairyland. Interesting ideas for some of the other projects. Won't mention them as we don't want to spoil the surpise (or scare off potential help)

I actually had fun at clean-up on Sunday. ;D It's great being able to help the Faire get up and running for the season. I'm definately going to return this coming weekend.

Miss you guys but with life taking us on this course we will not be there this weekend. Between gas, Sir John's work and the house that we should have been working on last year it has added up. Sorry but you have to know we have been working on building this place for a few years to get it just liveable and at the same time raise a family. We have been rebuilding since we lost our home to a shi**& contractor and now that we don't have the worry of kids we can think of this place. It's been a LONG road.

To all of you who come out to help with cleanup, I want to thank you for your time and sweat. I have been fortunate enough to be there early enough in the season to witness much of what you do, and I have experienced your gracious help when I was unable to get around when injured. I must say that I am impressed.
Your lunches last year were fun to attend, and have saved me from working too long without attending to my sugar. Such thoughtfulness and desire to help does not go unnoticed. You are all a true asset to Faire.
Can't wait to be there and spend time with you before the patrons get there. Thanks again.
Mitch

Hey Mitch. I have some good news for you. I only saw one shingle that needs fixed on your roof this year. So John won't have too much to do up there ;D

Almost forgot to mention. We won't be there this weekend. Brit has practice Saturday, and Sunday doesn't work for me. Will see everyone next weekend though.

I'm just checking to see if there will be clean up today. (Saturday) It is raining here and I didn't want to do the drive out there (Coming from Cleveland) if it has been cancelled for today. Kat OK. Since I have not heard yet, I am on my way. See you there.

I went out to clean up and the first person I met was John. He directed me to the Stumble Inn. On the way up there I met Sarah, Pirate Dave O'Rourke and Susan. Don't ask me "real" names, I forget. Sarah, Dave and O'Rourke worked on the Stumble stage. Susan and I cleared away fallen trees, sticks and really yucky leaves from the roads. Dave thought he might have "caught" our lunch, but it turned out that the toad was too small for all of us to share. (I will bring S'More fixens for next time.) I am sorry I had to leave so soon. I had to get back for a school play. It was nice to meet all of you and I am looking forward to meeting more in the coming weeks. Cheers, Kat

Really wish I could be out there with you guys. Probably a lot more fun than going to help my friend put linoleum down.
