This season we are actually bringing the fairy forest closer to the lane so it can be less isolated. There will be two Interactive Peter Pan shows a day and the Fairy Godmother will be telling stories in between the Peter Pan Shows there is also another attraction going in there but until it is signed I don't want to post it here. All in all the children's area is going to come alive this year.

Well, I guess I know where we will be working again this year. Hopefully we can finish in Fairyland before the mosquitos come out this year.

I always like the Fairy Forest every year. I'm excited to see what the changes will be though!

Sorry I was speaking about the cleanup there. It can get bad with them but that's the forest

Never fear, dear lady. I thought you were talking about the bugs. I meant about the place in general. I'm just hoping bringing it closer to the lane doesn't take away from it's secluded, magical feel. I really have liked the way natural parts of the woods have been put to use in the past to make some of the 'areas' in there.

That IS exciting! I brought my son to Faire last summer and that was one thing I wished that there had been more of. He was little so I didn't expect him to really get into things, but I'm glad some changes are coming to the Fairy Forest. .....Speaking of changes...that's the only other thing I wish the Faire had......DIAPER CHANGING AREAS! Lol! I think I actually changed him on one of the benches of the stage the Tortuga Twins had last year. .....seeing as they dissapeared when their shows were over.

but I'm glad some changes are coming to the Fairy Forest. Go read the site clean-up threads from previous years. There have been a ton of changes to Fairyland the past couple years. Though I won't mind making more. It has been fun watching the place evolve every year.

The Problem with the lay out was that it was so removed from the lane it was not drawing enough interest. By bringing it closer and adding entertainments in the area. The whole area should come alive which should please any vendors on the lane. It will also give the show a more complete feeling with entertainment everywhere.

Oh, I agree. The way it is, if you don't know there is something back there, it is a bit intimidating. Though when they widened the path a couple years ago it helped a lot. But the lack of any real show in the area negated those changes. With it being opened up even more, and having a show it should start to flourish now. Which I think will be greatly appreciated by the cast member back there.

Well, it is more than just opened up. John was right when he said it will be moving closer. It is all right on the path now. We started work on it today. Clearing things out, and moving the stage. (though it needs moved again now due to a bit of change of plans) Should be real interesting now.

While I am looking forward to many of the changes this year, the ones to Fairie Forest have me the most concerned. Our 6 year old adores Fairie Forest. But a huge part of the draw for her is the remoteness. She truly feels like she is going into a special, magical place due to the way it is set back from the lane. I hope the changes don't destroy the magic for her. And not having Queen Aurora will be so sad for her. I hope Brenda enjoys her new role, but a Fairie Forest without Queen Aurora? Yikes! Michelle
