Thought I would get a little discussion going on here.
Do you like how the themed acts are working out this year?
Have you been happy with the themed acts so far?
Any of them you would like to see brought back next year for a full run?
Anything else you want to talk about?

Personally, I really like having different acts each weekend. I think it gives more of an opportunity to see different things!
So far my fav's for the those being brought in have been Queen Anne's Lace and Jolly Rogers.

The themed acts are impressive this year, and it's great to see new faces as well as old favorites. I'd love to see The Rogues, Manolete and The Jolly Rogers do a full run.

Just realized I never posted my thoughts. I'm really enjoying the rotating themed acts, and hope the faire continues doing this next season. Gives you a chance to experience different groups that we might not normally get to see. The only drawback for us, is that it really cuts down on some of our 'free time' that we had to cause mischief.

So, anyone have any more input about the themed acts? Should they try the same thing again next year? Any favorites you would like to see back for a full run next year?

Trying to get this thread going again. What do you think? You like having themed acts that change every weekend? Or would you rather have a couple of acts that are the same the whole run?
Now is the time to let them know how we feel. That way they have time to take it into consideration when planning for the upcoming season.

after being at the faire since 1998 I enjoyed being able to see the different acts that were brought in for the themed weekends. keeps it different. But I would recommend that you have a few staple acts for the whole run that people can count on. The only problem with the themed acts rotating that I could see was that if I had to miss a weekend then I missed the act completely.

Hank here... I would like to see the magician back. Zoltan I think his name was. I liked him. The themed weekends was a good concept. ya get to see some new acts you might not otherwise see, and for us season tickets holders that is good. Don't get me wrong, I like Axle and Johnny P. but catching EVERY performance for 6 weeks does get old. I wish the Tort twins would actually do a show and not spend all their time on stage hocking T-shirts! As for Sword school groupie, the solution to your problem is very simple luv. DON'T MISS FAIRE!!! We want you there, not in Mongolia, or Montana, or Madagascar, or wherever you wander off to.

I actually like themed weekends. They used to be huge in 97 and 98. I remember the obnoxious oompa band on the German themed weekend. It was so loud, but I will never remember Jenny, the queen, and Kirk, the king polka-ing down the lane to get to the joust. One of my favorite faire memories. I like on the Scottish themed weekends that they would get more pipers (or more would just show up... not quite sure how that worked....) and the final pub sing would be huge and LOUD! I like playing to the themes, it helps the actors get through the run too. My two cents.....
