Officially that is the ST. JULIAN'S CHAPEL But for A beautiful wedding there and a rat puck goal, it was not used much this year, though it did shelter us from a rain storm once. ;D

Yes, that is the glassblowers stage. They intended to use it this season for Judy Plester and company, but I think the lack of traffic through there caused the performers to move back over to the old stage.

I do think that as an added bit of safety, it would be convienient to set up a few more first of aid stations, perhaps for example close to the chess board... and more available water for the cast.

They actually have a lot more water available now than they used to.

Speaking of water stations, there should be more dog watering stations. Far as I know there is only one "official" one. And the Pickle Goddess has a dish on either side of the grove. That's it. Should be one or two in the New World and one more in the Old, at least. And they should change them regularly. I saw the official one near the end of the day once, and it looked nasty.
I know it's not a big priority, but a lot of people would appreciate it.

Where exactly would you put one? Most of the locations you mentioned have no water taps in the area. Also it would have to be where someone responsible was there all day long.
Not saying it's not a good idea, but there is a better chance that it might actually happen if we give them a bit more specific ideas.

A few answers and clarifications.
Gravel: A single tractor trailer load of gravel is between 2-3 thousand dollars. Each year Larry brings in anywhere from 30 -60 loads. Big rocks and I-90 debris form a solid base that can eventually be covered with finer gravel. Without the base the fine stuff would simply sink into the mud and be gone in a few weeks of trafic. The same goes for wood chip.
Acts: Just a note on Ded Bob. Be carefull of rumors, I'm not sure where you heard he'd never be asked back. We actually were in talks last year but it was late in the season and didn't pan out. But, who knows what this year may bring.
Joust Arena: Yes, I agree the entire area needs a complete overhaul from seats to dias. We actually have a multi year plan to do what we can, but much depends on zoning for construction.
Which brings us to that can of worms: Trevor was right that previous litigation had come to an end last summer...but that didn't stop them from filing more trivial suits. So the battle continues. It boils down to a handful of petty locals, who unfortunatly also have power and want to see the faire and Larry fail. Think Hatfields and Mcoys and your getting close. With the amount of money spent on legal fees just this past year we could afford to build a joust area to rival any on circuit.
On a good note, Larry has decided to fight back on another front. While the legal battles continue, he has tossed his name into the ring and is running for Twp. Trustee. Two seats are open on the 3 seat board and they have been held in the past by the opposing side. These are the people who set zoning codes etc. So cross your fingers and if you know anyone in Trubull Twp. pass the word and tell them to get out the vote this Nov.
That's it for now. Hope it helps.

Thank you very much for posting. Very interesting. I hadn't heard about the latest round of crap. Didn't make the papers this time. Would be awesome if Larry manages to win.

It is very nice of Brook keep us informed of the doings at the faire.
It is a shame that there are so many intolerant people in this world. You would think that neighbors should be supportive of of each other, not obstructionists. I cannot see how anyone could object to something that brings so much joy to so many. I hope Larry wins the election, sorry I can't vote in truebill twp.

I know what I would like to see at the souvenir stand , Pins or badges With the fairs logo / coat of arms on them. For our trip to Michigan I made some for the Lady and myself by taking a couple of the ceramic refrigerator magnets that were on sale at the Great Lakes information booth /souvenir stand and knocked the magnets off and put some self adhesive pins we got at a craft store on the back and wore them as badges. This worked pretty well but real metal badges would be better.
