Ahem, the "boobage" was definitely at Pub Sing. Although I don't recall the date.
On a side note though, as much as I loved them, we'd really have to work to go back to find the "original" faire circuit mud beggars, but my first performance year at GLMF it was Cirque de Soil.
And sadly, that image...was horribly burned into my retinas. My poor...poor retinas, they've seen so much!
As for a favorite memory... To ham up my own accomplishment.
The day I was given Mordred...and I set him loose.

I remember the mooning but I don't think that was the "original" mud beggars. Pester was doing mud shows way before that season. I believe the first mud show I saw featured Pester, Willa, and Scab.

Yeah, saying anyone is the original mudbeggars is like saying who is the first explorers in the U.S. (okay, that made more sense in my head, the baby's been up since 5) Marc Sulivan and Jennifer (Sulivan?) had a mud group going on the circuit. I saw them when I was 11 years old (17 years ago). They interposed people in and out including Johny Phoenix and Tom Laitanen(sp). They and trained several cast members in 97 (my first year) That included Jeannie, Melinda Askins, and Tim Younessi (sp). (Brook can clarify the mistakes.)
But yeah, those mud beggars were a trip. Saw a little more of them then anyone would want. They would wander the faire after hours in towels with cigars. How Freudian can you get?

Yeah, okay I believe that I posted who was mud beggars in 1997 ( my first year too). However, I was saying that the "orginal mud beggars" doesn't just mean this faire. I was posting that there have been mud beggars on the circuit for a long time. (Let's not forget there are other faires out there, folks!) Different actor groups do different things at different faires.
Good call with the programs, Hank. I know I have all of mine, but where they are, is anyone's guess. That would be a neat feature on the official GLMF page is to PDF the programs of years gone by, or at least character lists and special events and dates.

It was 1999, 1st year we did Robin Hood. I was Friar Tuck.
At final Pub Sing, Prince John (Eric Roediger) was on stage strutting, unaware of the arrival of King Richard (Jeff of the New Riders), and the Royal Delegation arrived at the stage. I got up on a table to interrupt the prince's bragging, and in my best, loudest voice yelled (and remember I was playing the Sean Connery Friar Tuck) "Enough . . . blah blah blah".
Eric lept out of his shoes (or close to it) because he wasn't expecting it. King Richard and Robin Hood (Greg Isaacs) came to the stage and the whole crowd rose as one and called "God Save the King" with no prompting (maybe I promted them, but I can't remember.
Yep. That was the best year ever.
I was Tuck, Sean Seaber was Little John, Steve Karpin- Karpine - (oh hell I don't know how to spell his last name) was Will Scarlett, Maya Rodriguez was Marion, Greg Oatley was the Sheriff of Nottingham, Eric Roediger was Prince John, Jeff Vogan was Guy of Gisbourne . . . Spncer Humm was entertainment director, Hack n' Slash was still here, the Rogues were still around full time, Brian Howard (Broon) was still around, Tinsmith was there . . . Greg Isaacs was the best Robin Hood a Lebanese man could ever play, the chess fights were the best they ever were, and every day when Robin Hood hit the deck during the Execution of Will Scarlett the crowd roared with excitement.
Now those were the days. Those were the days.
