From what I saw, the Steelers didn't do much better.

Here we are once again. Another "what the Hell went wrong?" season for you know who. How in the Hell can one team be so consistently bad? Some teams ( Steelers, Patriots, Ravens) are pretty good year after year. Others will have a 3 and 13 year one season and bounce back the next with a 13 and 3 year. But the good ole Browns they just SUCK year after year! Sure, we did better then 0 and 16 this time but in the 20 plus years since they returned I believe we've only had ONE year where we won more games then we lost. Kinda sad! Maybe Haslem should just disband the team and call it quits since nothing ever seems to get better.
Here's a story someone told: A religious man was also a die hard Browns fan, and one night while on his knees saying his prayers he ended with, God, "will the Browns EVER win a Super Bowl?"
Well much to his surprise God replied and said "yes, they will!" Well the man was in shock, not only by the fact that God himself had directly answered him, but by hearing that the Browns Would win a Super bowl. So his next question was, "Will it be anytime soon?"
And God replied. "Not in my lifetime!"

SO! Anyone besides me planning on NOT watching the Stupor Bowl? Truth be told it's just another ordinary football game that is just waaaaay over hyped. and most of the commercials don't even make sense anymore so no reason to waste four+ hours on it as I have no interest in either of the teams playing.

Same here. Ever since the commercials started getting the spotlight, they have gotten even stupider.
I haven't watched any football in years, not gonna start now.
I have plenty on the DVR to catch up on anyway.

I see by the front page of today's News-Herald the Cleveland Clowns are getting new uniforms for 2020. GEE, didn't they get new uniforms just a couple of years ago? Maybe instead of wasting money on new clothing they should spend the money on getting some GREAT players to fill the old uniforms. You can put a tuxedo on a pig but it's still a pig. No wonder they loose more games then they win, their thinking is all screwed up.

They are just thinking about the money. New jerseys mean people will have to go out and buy new merchandise. It's all about profits, not winning.

you're probably right Trevor. It's amazing how damn stupid fans are to even support that bunch of losers much less spend a ton o' money on some jersey of a player who probably WON'T even be there next year. Look how many QB's we've gone thru for example. Makes me glad I'm not a football fan. I'd be hard pressed to name three players other then Baker Mayfield, yet I can name dozens of compeitores from American Ninja Warrior. Go figure.

Yeah. I can understand supporting your team, even when they suck. But getting a jersey with anyone's name or number on it is just throwing money away anymore. And for what they want, way too much money for my taste.

Well, it looks like the Browns are going for yet another first place season. Of course by FIRST PLACE I mean their pick in the draft next year. I watched the last three minutes of Sundays game as I have better things to do then waste four plus hours watching a reinactment of Custer's Last stand. Sure as hell ain't staying up till midnight Thursday, guess I'll have to learn the score on the news Friday.

Well things have certainly changed a lot since I made my last post on this thread. Who would of thought! If I understand this correctly from listening to the sports guy talk on the radio, if the Browns win Sunday against the Jets (we should, they suck like the Browns use to) and the Steelers lose (not sure who they play) then we go into the last game against each other with an identical W,L record. So who ever wins that game wins the division and WILL go into the playoffs. Now, I think the Browns can still make it as a wild card if this, that or the other happens but a win guarantees it. That's a game I might even watch and I'm not really a football fan. I think that would be the first game Ive watched in its entirety since the Steelers won their last Superbowl in what? 1997,98 I think it was.

I actually watched a game this season. Only because my son was here and wanted to watch it. It was in the middle of the week and was Steelers / Ravens. Back when Pitt was still undefeated, before they started loosing to everyone.

Anyone want to venture a guess as to how many games the Browns will win the remainder of the season? We BARELY beat the Lions, most of the team is injured, and their schedule is a follows: Ravens (twice), Packers, Raiders, Steelers (whom we never seem to be able to beat) and the Bengals, who probably want revenge for that last beating we handed them. My thinking: We HOPEFULLY can beat the Raiders, they don't seem to be very good. As for the rest of em....I think they will open a BIG OLE CAN of Whoop Ass on our sorry butts.
