It was great when someone remembered to turn "the water" off! LOL! But I have to say, even with the rain, being stuck in a tent with Porter and Stout did have it's advantages...despite the "captive audience" I really thought it had a nice intimate feel about it and shows that a true Rennie can make best of any situation! Well done, Lads! To wit....loved the "pirate ducks" and sharks in a puddle in front of one of the booths. Damn we're a clever lot!!

That would be Maximum Glitter. They love to put out their 'moat monsters' when that little trench fills with water.
I remember a couple years ago bing in that same tent with Menagerie performing during a rain storm as well.

On sunday, I actually got time to play^.^ I was so excited. I put Louis into the stocks for calling me 'thee' hehe. Then I brought his wife, Daisy over so they could argue. Then Morgana came, it was so much fun. ^.^ So, Sunday was awesome.

I also enjoyed the impromptu soap raid & bathing in front of my shop. You are ALWAYS welcome to come & wash in the rain. The performance was MOST enjoyable. Think I'll have to start looking for a big wooden barrel to fill with water to encourage bathing on sunny days also!!! Cast and performers are always welcome to play in & near St. Sadie's. You must remember to ask for the "peppermint" soap when you come, as you will not only smell good - you will taste good when finished washing.

Saturday... Soaked to the bones, all the clothes needed to be washed (more importantly dried), but it was fun. Once you're already soaked there's no use keeping out of the mud and rain.
Sunday was a really good day, and the weather was great. The Highwayman clocked over an hour throughout the days in the stocks, with courtesy whippings from the executioner and getting fish-whipped by the fish monger on orders of Mordred. >.> It was mostly Morgana's fault. Then I was entered as a contestant to the dog costume contest that Porter and Stout were running. The Sheriff put a handcuff on one of my hands and brought me onto the stage. I got one round of applause as a well-dressed pet before they turned the sheriff into one of the judges instead.
Overall, I think Sunday was my favorite day so far.

This weekend was most enjoyable. Getting soaked in the rain was not so bad. Freezing after didn't feel so good. Lady Catherine tried to keep me warm. Nice fuzzy hugs! Of course I left my car windows open, so us wet, sitting on wet seats, made for a squishy ride home. Sunday was a wonderful day. Not too hot, just a little breezy, calm day. Got my best pictures on Sunday.
Good weekend all around.

I agree. It was definitely good, no matter the rain. The cast is doing an amazing job. I had been very excited to hear that the theme was King Arthur this year. (I have been studying Arthurian legend for a very long time.) I love how they added Tristan and Isolde to the legend also. It too is one of my favorite stories. :-) Although, the only thing that left me a bit uncomfortable, and i am not saying anything bad, is that Arthur did not seem to be an Arthur. Do not get me wrong, the man playing him is excellent. Wonderful actor, great presence, handsome. I see a king, but not King Arthur. But, maybe that it just me. Anyways, good job cast! And the shows were also very wonderful. All in all, Great Lakes Medieval Faire is absolutely wonderful. The dedication and hard work shows with in everything and everyone. Well done!

Despite severely aggrivating an old knee injury on Sunday, I had an awesome time this weekend. I would just be echoing most of what was said above if I said much more than that.
Pub sing in manacles was much fun. I got many laughs out of that one.

This was my first time visiting the Faire, and I have to say I had so much fun! It is sometimes confusing telling apart who is cast and who isn't sometimes since so many people are dressed in costume!
Was it the entire cast in the chess fight? (Which by the way was so very cool.)
I will definitely be coming another weekend!

The weekend was most amusing. Happy to have gotten a bit more street time. More time to meet people, and also get to play a bit with vendors. I liked the mass bit in the center of town. And I think we managed to get a few people hooked to the Dance. Bring more. And the fact that Lancelot is now married to a dozen odd ladies makes me chuckle (though I fear what his alimony payments are going to be). good work my rennies. I look forward to seeing what next weekend brings.

The best part of the weekend was when this little boy dressed as a dark knight came up to Morgana and asked if she was a witch right before pub sing. It turned into a bit when King Arthur and Guinevere came along. It was so great.
