Despite severely aggrivating an old knee injury on Sunday, I had an awesome time this weekend. Stop on by the First Aid tent...they have some wonderful stuff called "BIOFREEZE" which works well for arthritis, sore muscles & joints and back pain!

Way better than the first weekend. We had to leave early on saturday due to the rain and the grandkids were whining when they were wet and cold. Sunday was so much better! Went to more shows and played more so far I love this year! Sue

The only day we went was Sunday, and we didn't go the first weekend, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But I enjoyed myself. Seeing faces I hadn't seen in over a year was great, although I seemed to have missed some people, which was disappointing. The mud wasn't my favorite part, but you would think that I would have been smarter and would have worn real shoes instead of flipflops, but oh well. It seems that a lot of booths have moved and it's sort of nice having different surroundings like that. The huge kids area thing was quite frightening. I most deffinitely was not expecting that. haha. But it seemed like it kept the little kids occupied. I was also confused as to who was cast and who was not. I know that there are a lot of new cast members, but there didn't seem to be many playing in the street. Maybe I just didn't see them or something. Who knows? I went to Lady Ophelia's Dance and enjoyed watching. It seems like the cast is very fond of it and had a blast. =) Pub sing was different and I know that many people have said that they can barely hear when they are in the back and that is true, but I still had fun. The cast this year, like always, is a very nice crowd and are all friendly and funny. I loved being back and can't wait to come back again.
love, kayla

Trevor has a page where there's pictures and names of the cast members. There's a link at the top left corner of the home page.

For any who are unsure who the cast are. Here are all their pictures, and character names. www.tylisaari.com/medieval/glmf08/thecast.htmWe also have a lot of former cast members playing in the lanes as well, which actually helps add to the ambiance. Though it can be somewhat confusing as to who the actual cast are. And a tip for any future rain days. If you get cold from being drenched, try stopping by the glassblowers. I know in years past they have been mroe than welcoming at letting cast an patrons hang around and warm themselves a bit by the oven. I remember 2 years ago we had a really bad rain day. The temperatures really dropped after the rain came through, and our poor fairies were really suffering. They don't have nearly as many layers as most of the cast so they were literally freezing out there. The glassblowers were life-savers that day.

Second weekend: Let's see, the light rain was fine, but I could have really done without the violent rainstorms. By the end of the day I was cold, wet and cranky. And Sunday morning was a wet, muddy and miserable mess. The afternoon was beautiful, one of those perfect sparkling days. Saw a show and wandered around visiting and playing. Definitely the best part of the weekend! Omg! Finally! Thank you for knowing the story. Goodness. I swear, people need to read more. ^.^ While many regular patrons and tourists aren't, you'll find that most of the regulars (playtrons, vendors, etc.) are more or less familiar with the Tristan and Isolde (or Iseult in some variations) legends.

If anyone does know the story, play with it. Dave (Tristan) and I want to play it up. Even though it's not accurate with the story, it's close. Marke although, for some reason, was made King of Scotland instead of Cornwall. He is still Tristan's uncle. And Isolde's father is still king Angwuish of Ireland. Right now, Isolde is kind of courting Marke. He and Anqwish are in 'discussion' about that.

must say this weekend was most amazing. And even though I know a lot of people look for me as the green faerie, I've decided to hang up the wings for good this season and stick to being the only female Rouge, and the wife of Louis Canard. It was such a blast, and I can't believe how wonderful it is to be able to interact with EVERYONE and not have to worrk about cracking anyone in the face with my wings!
Thank you to everyone whose been playing with me. You've been making my weekends.
