It was definitely awesome. Although I noticed that it seemed less people were dressed up. Tons of people though. But, all in all, I had a blast, and I'm beat. Kidnapping went so amazing this weekend!!!

I swear, I thought I was going to drop Tristan. Was hot, and tired. But hearing the crowd after the flip and the end of the song. worth a little pain. god bless them all. Any suggestions for next weeks song and dance?

How about this? www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfGpVcdqeS0We're Knights of the Round Table, We dance when ere we're able, We do routines and chorus scenes With footwork impeccable. We dine well here in Camelot, We eat ham and jam and spam a lot. We're Knights of the Round Table, Our shows are formidable, But many times, we're given rhymes That are quite unsingable. We're Opera mad in Camelot, We sing from the diaphragma looooooot. In war we're tough and able, Quite indefatigable, Between our quests we sequin vests, And impersonate Clark Gable. It's a busy life in Camelot, I have to push the pram a lot.

OMG. Please do it! Lord Higgins, you're awesome.
I can't believe I didn't think of that one. I have the Spamalot soundtrack with that song on it. (Spamalot's the Broadway version of Monty Python and the Holy Grail in case anyone didn't know.)

My favorite weekend so far! Maybe it's because all my friends came, but I had a lot of fun with "Captain feathersword the pirate." Lulz, and almost everyone ended up in the stocks at one point or another. Lady Isolde has yet to put me there !

Yep, it was awesome, and WOW was it crowded! I got there late on Sunday and parked all the way out in the sticks. Good to see business is brisk. Pub sing rocked!

As for the weekend i was glad that there were so many poeple there. it was nice to see the faire so busy. I do however have one compliant. it appears as though the cast has forgotten an entire section of the faire! it seems the only time we ( that would be "old world") see the cast is when they walk thru on thier way to or from the joust field. we almost NEVER see any street work at our end. (thank you jinxy!! your street work is all i HAVE seen down there) our entire part of the village never even knew about the kidnapping of our royals!!! don't you think that is something we should have at least HEARD about?!?!?!?!? I understand that a lot of things happen in the town square but we are being totaly cut out of EVERYTHING!! when pub sing got moved to the Drift inn stage we lost even that. Please do not take this as a critisism as I think the cast is doing a phenominal job, I am just frusterated that it seems like a whole end of the faire is being ignored. ok enough ranting. see you all saturday.

We have been beginning the kidnapping in the old world loop. I personnally try to loop around the entire faire doing bits but it is hard for some of us. I apologize if Tristan is lacking in the Old World.

like i said please do not think I am critisizing anyone. I know how hard you all work. I just see a perfect open area not being utilized and i wonder why. it is not large but it IS the crossroads of the entire old world loop. every road in old world meets by the crows nest ride but hardly any of the cast takes advantage of that spot. I would think that would be a perfect spot to start something like the kidnapping or at least take them thru there.

The Camelot song would be awesome. I think they tried doing it during the first kidnapping the weekend before, but couldn't get all the lyrics. It was a good weekend. The weather was great, crowd as good, things were fun. As for the stocks... Twenty-one times on Sunday. It was like Lady Morgana and Tristan/Isolde were having a contest to see who could put the Highwayman away the most. Heh. I think I only did something that actually merited being placed in the stocks three of those times. The rest of the time I was just doing things like returning Lady Constance's basket or standing in the wrong place (any place) at the wrong time (any time). But, it's all fun. As Lord Higgins pointed out, it's just become an opportunity for me to become an expert in something, and I ought to have every detail of the stocks memorized by now. xD

our entire part of the village never even knew about the kidnapping of our royals!!! don't you think that is something we should have at least HEARD about?!?!?!?!? Actually, this past Sunday, the entire procession went right past your booth. But I have seen what you are talking about when I am down there visiting. I've seen al ot of cast walk by, but never really seen any doing bits down there in your area. I've seen them by the Story-Telling Tree, and over by Pluck's. But not usually on your side of old world. And you are correct about that being the cross-roads for old world. We used to have several cast members that would 'set up' there and do bits with patrons as they went by.. Expecially memorable was the witch-hunter who would get lots of people with the 'lady on the left' bit, and educating patrons on the proper way to escort a lady. IT is also a prime location, as there are no shows to interfere with. In case you missed it, we did puck that hole that end at the tree at the cross-roads Saturday

We started the kidnapping by Friar Plucks actually. We try to avoid shows as much as we can so as not to interrupt. So when we go past a stage with someone performing, we can't make a huge deal or be really loud.
We had a little problem with that last week becuase we started the kidnapping too early and we couldn't do much becuase of the Washing Well Wenches.
I'll remember to come down to the Old World more often this weekend if I have the time. ^.^
