Fairemomrita DOES have a point.....Poison Ivy worked the incense and candle booth down at that end this past weekend, and commented several times about how dead it was.....empty of cast and patrons alike....as opposed to the heavy traffic that we're used to in the Grove. Even Sunday, as crazy as it was, it was MUCH quieter down at that end. No idea WHY................

Pirate weekend was amazing.
It felt very strange, very wrong, and, admittedly, very good to be a part of the Duke's Armada.

I don't know what I was doing during the whole kidnapping thing. I lap Avaloch several times in a day, so I'm not quite sure how I missed it. I caught the tail end of the kidnapping last week, when the nights were thrown into the stocks for not rescuing them or something, can't remember what. I think I blacked out or something.
All in all, a good weekend. Balancing a cup on your head really isn't as hard as people make it sound.

Let us get one thing clear, jester: that is Morgana's Armada, not the Duke's! He gets not ALL the good toys.

You know. I am sitting here working on the kidnap pictures. You guys really make it difficult for me. Is it so hard to not smile while you are being kidnapped?!? Good thing I took a lot of pix, as about half of them people have goofy grins on their faces. Now, it works for the Duke and Morana as they usually look like evil grins. But when the queen is being tied up, she should not have a grin from ear to ear!

But when the queen is being tied up, she should not have a grin from ear to ear! Just had to quote that. Ladies and gentlemen, our monarch.

Naughty naughty queen. And ladies in waiting too. Sure they smile for the duke, but when a knight asks it, we get put in the stocks!!!

I am surprised there hasn't been any comments on some of our returning visitors yet. I mean, we had the Burlap Brothers this weekend. 2/3 of Spoiled Vixen Mallory Brittany and a whole slew of others.

Hey. As a matter of fact, it IS hard NOT to smile during the kidnapping. With our "guards" being tipsy or drunk, and whatnot, it's pretty darn funny.

Isolde, hush thee, the guards were terrifying at every moment theystooduprightwithouthelp. And especially those who led the charge are always evilly intimidating unlesswetripandlaughatourselves. I could always see the fear in thine eyne, and know that fear overruled all and laughing was a simple defense mechanism exceptthatitwasalsojustreallyfunny.
And indeed the punishment to the knights was most excellent. 'Twas lopsided, though, what with three ladies to four knights... so Morgana did have to join in to help the ladies. Ladies: "You let them kidnap us!" Morgana: "You let me kidnap them!" Especially excellent was the small children atop the pirate ship who factioned accordingly and either protected or beat Lancelot. Mostly beat. In a corner.
And a HUGE huzzah to our returning joy makers! I do wish I could have seen the Burlap/Mackerel pun off. Blast!

Oh, forgive me my lady. Of course they were absolutely...terrifying. I was oh so...scared. Oh the Pirate Ship and the kids. So very entertaining and hysterical. Poor Lancelot. They wouldn't let him go. And Morgana, you are always more than welcome to chase after the Knight's with us if we are ever...er...kidnapped again....shhh. The Burlap men...one was Knighted and the other was made a Princess at the Knighting/Princess Ceremony. It was very funny.
