I'm Not Morbid....Just Prepared!

If funerals make you "icky" don't read any farther.........

I have been saying for years that I have already planned my music for my funeral.
A few people think I am morbid. I say I am prepared. I want family to know what I would like my service to be. They know I want it to be a celebration of my life.
I was surfing the net last night and found that this is very normal to plan ahead. Lots of people have posted their music list online....so, I would like to know what songs you would like at your funeral.
Here is my list in the order it should be played. I have about 34 songs and I have made 2 cd's.

Well, here's part of what I'd want.... In order. (There's more to be added before this however..)

I haven't done it yet, but I hope to in the next year or two.. I'll make a batch of mead, keep it on glass for a year, then bottle it. Bottles will be put in a box, and sealed with the note: "Do Not Open Until Dave's Funeral"

At the funeral, the bottles will be served at "One Last Drink", and everyone raises a toast as "Parting Glass" is sung. Then, the party goes on until all the mead has been consumed.


So, if I do this in a year or so, and I die at age 55, that's 24 year old mead!!! Now imagine if I live to collect my 401(k) without penalties!!!

Oooh, ooooh, gonna have to think about this one. I'm definitely in the 'celebration of life as opposed to sad funeral, so party your asses off' catagory, but oddly I've never thought specifically about the music before. I'll be correcting that real soon...............definitely going to have to include Ozzy's 'I Don't Want To Stop'. ;D

Rush - Closer to the Heart (Another one that vocalizes my thoughts on life in general)
