Thanks Hank and Bunnie for scouting things out. Doesn't sound too bad!! But let's cross our fingers for no more big storms.

Has anyone heard from Simon and Lady De Monfort lately? Been awhile Since I've seen them on the board. Was wondering if they are going to make it out for cleanup. Hope so, they are both good workers and fun to have around. Hope there are no health problems. HANK.

I had mail from Rhoda last Friday and some from Bob this week. Nothing mentioned about this. Just the jokes and greetings cards.

Heard from Dave the pirate today. He and Jessica his wife (remember the wedding all last year) will be there on Sunday plus 2 others. DANG it hurts being a once upon blond I can't remember who he said. I was in the middle of cooking dinner which meant grease -HAMBURGERS AND FRIES- it's Friday OK be healthy the rest of the week if you want.

To all you volunteers, the time draws near, so gather up your tools and get ready to do battle on Sunday. Don't forget your GLOVES and dress appropriately for the weather. I am hearing everything from Sunny and in the 60's to Snow. A raincoat might be nice to bring along. If it is lightning and thundering and pouring rain common sense would dictate "We ain't gonna be working" Maybe Panda can comment more on that subject. But last year Trevor, Britny, Bunnie and I did don our rain gear and worked thru a couple of drizzly weekends. Though I suppose none of us are "Poster Children" for sanity! SEE YA ALL SUNDAY!!! HANK.

i won't be there this weekend.....that evil four letter word won't allow it! (for those who don't know...the word is work!) i'm hoping i don't get scheduled too many weekends, but the way they keep changing my schedule around doesn't allow much pre-planning. since i've just returned after my accident, i suffer the burden of being low nurse on the scheduling pole. my 90 day probation period will be up June 6th...at that time i'll be able to have a little more say in when i get scheduled. some times it feels like they purposefully schedule me opposite of what i request.

I'm taking the summer off, faire time and my sweetie will be here........I hate to be cooped up in classes when I can be galavanting around and having a wonderful time basking in warm sunshine!!! Besides....I miss everyone!!!!!

When you can make it , you can make it!! That's the joys of the word "volunteer!!" And as Hank already mentioned, the weather forecast keeps changing so, I will be out there regardless. If it's drizzly we will work, if it's unbareable we will not. Raincoats are a good idea and can I stress GLOVES as well??
See you all there!! Sarah

if it's unbareable we will not. Well, at least not those of us with any sense. Lucky for the faire, a few of us don't know when to come in out of the rain ;D

As far as kids go, anyone under 16 needs to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. They will have to fill out the same forms as everyone else, and like you did with Brit's paperwork the parent has to sign them as well. I have no problem with kids helping out, as long as they understand that we are there to work and as long as the parents understand that it is their responsibility to watch their child. Having that said, I think volunteering could be a great learning experience for kids! It will teach them that sometimes people do things merely out of the goodness of thier hearts....

Thanks. I will pass that along.
And I agree. Volunteering can be great. I know Brit is planning on volunteering at the local community center again this summer. She and her friend had a blast helping little kids for a couple weeks. That, and any time you can get kids out in the fresh air doing stuff, it's a good thing.
