Well...here's an earlier post... "This year it's "Pirate Invasion". The Brotherhood of the Coast (Pirates) is coming for a trail, somebody killed Black Jack's little brother Little Joe." Don't know if that was just someone kidding around or if that is actually true... That is true. And you guys are gonna love who is playing Black Jack the pirate! We also have King Arthur (played by Greg)

Coming for a trail??? Ya mean "TRIAL"? Sounds unmedieval to me, but -heh- as long as the pirates like bread and cheese and don't steal cattle, I'll be happy. But I'd have to be "three sheets to the wind" to appear in a toga!
Adam was my favorite, too, Muirgen.

Hey y'all! Just so that everyone is on the same page, what follows is considered the "official" GLMF history for King Arthur and what has been going on the past few years in the storyline. We are basing most of this on "The Once and Future King" by TH White, as it was in turn based on Sir Thomas Mallory's "Le Morte d'Arthur", and is the basis for many other more modern interpretations of the legends. We are also drawing from several other sources to try and meld things together as best we can. It will be long - over many posts I am sure, and is still a "work in progress". If you have a question, just keep reading, and hopefully it will be answered. If not, post a message. For our purposes, the history of Europe from about 1135 to 1235 is very different than in the real world. Instead of the various kings of England that followed Henry I in 1135, the land degenerated into a chaos of various city-states with dozens of "kings". Uther was able to unite much of the land through force of arms, but was not widely respected. He dies without an heir in 1185, and the land degenerates again. For 16 years, England has no king. Arthur is crowned in 1201, and will rule a vast empire for 30+ years before his death. Soon after this, forces of history are realigned to again pick up where our stories leave off. Avaloch - The village where our stories take place - set about 1175-1225 AD (specifically 2005 = 1205 AD) - because of proximity of Arcadia (the Fairy Forest), Avaloch would regularly "slip out of time", allowing visitors to the shire from "the future (2001 - 2005 seasons)" - A magic battle between Merlyn and Mordred causes the village to further slip out of time. Not only are visitors from the future coming in, but great heroes and villains from throughout time are summoned. The discovery of the "Phoenix Stone" allows things to be put right. (2004 season) - Was made its own kingdom under Arthur until it became settled in time again. King Amaranth and Queen Petunia Foraday had a short but prosperous reign, where they defended the kingdom (with the help of Heroes and the Green Dragon Army) against several Villains. (2004 season) more to come...
