Just went to the GLMF website. They have a schedule of events for 2005 posted. Does not include the special acts for each weekend. One thing bothers me though. Sword school isn't listed. They weren't listed in the program last year either. Sword school needs to get some billing and publicity. At the very least the times for the sword school needs to be posted somewhere. Does our location have a name?? The Sword School Stage or something like that?? I hope this year the extra acts are given out as an insert to the program each weekend. Last year that was lacking I think.

I don't think sword school will lack from exposure. You have to walk past them to get into the faire, unless you take the back way. As to times, I think that is up to Master Turk to set his own.

You don't have to quick reply. If you reply the old fashioned way there are quite a few smilies to choose from.

I have a question. With acts like this do the performers have any say on where they will be at or are they just working stiffs that have to follow a schedule of when and where?

Who says who goes to which faires? It depends on who runs the show.
The New Riders never had any say. With the Washer Well Wenches, Danielle is the (I think) co-owner, so she pretty much can decide where she wants to go.
For the rest of them, most shows only have the members you see on stage. THe only difference is when an act has someone absent due to illness or committments - i.e., when Hack and Slash introduced Dash one year to replace Spencer who went to the Stage Combat Teacher Certification in Las Vegas.
Otherwise, you just get the same act with one missing member. Sometimes they have extra scripts or sets ready just in case.
For AnamChara, the three of us know a combined 60 tunes, so if someone can't be there, we can do whatever we can that uses just the two (or one) of us.
Ya?

Hmm...went to the Washing Well Wench website....doesn't look like Daphne (Danielle) is attending this year Not good....GMLF without Daphne is like...like....a desert without sand... You are correct BK, on several accounts, Danielle will not be here....and it's not going to be the same........ (side note......without Danielle coming back, neither is hubby....so that means.......NO coffee/teasie freezie vendor this year.............very sad................)
