Well, we all know it was hot. A certain irish band of local lads returned!. The stragglers returned from their other commitments (looking at you Lord Higgins). And it appears we will be starting to see a game of "mashie-niblick" being played in the mornings with the Mayor. (who would appreciate your support and participation). Until further notice, we will be playing that game in the gardens of old town behind the stained glass booth. For those wondering, mashie-niblick is a golf/rat puck/croquet sort of mash up. Personal highlights for me were a few friends I had not seen for too long and that missed last week. And, as always, new friends that were made. (that's right, I don't know everybody yet). And I got some awesome iron dice from the forge so feel free to demand I play a game with them.

Yeah, GLMF is always hot! After a day at the Faire I feel like a limp dish rag, even if I wear my Arabian cotton-linen robes. I wish it started in the 1st part of June, instead of July. And, there we are in black leather, high boots, hoop skirts, doublets, hose, woolen kilts. (!!!) Did you ever think that in olden times those clothes were worn in countries in Europe and the Celtic Isles that weren't as tepid as it is in Ohio in the summer? I have!!!

Yes. It was hot. I even left early on Sunday. Not that I was feeling bad. Just didn't feel like hanging around. I had had fun during the day, but around 4 or so, time just started to drag. Everyone was pretty wiped out. I kept wandering, trying to kill time until Broon & Slash. But when I asked Daisy for the time, and it was still only 5, I figured enough was enough. Got my wife's rose, and headed for the gate.
But I still think it wa a great weekend. Saturday was amazing. Basically an extension of opening weekend. Catching up with old friends that couldn't make opening. There were good crowds that seemed playful and looking for fun. Broon and Slash almost killed me with laughter.
