Oh good...we have an excuse to be damp and wet because of the rain as opposed to the mere fact of it being frickin' hot and humid....
At least if it's to be Celtic Weekend...I could deal with mid 50's temps and a misty fog on the Glenn with the haunting sounds of bagpipes in the distance....
Alas.....

Guess I forgot that a 60% chance of rain also means 40% chance it won't! Shoulda bought a lottery ticket on the way home. Anyways, it was another fantastic day at the faire for me and my crew. Started with Wonderfool while the ladies browsed some wares, then caught Circa Paleo and the joust again, picked up both of Marshal Laws shows this time around (sorry Marshal, Constable Grouser let the prisoners escape ), finally saw Broon perform ( ), made it to Johnny Phoenix's adult show and while we've yet to see a checkers match, we took in the chess match. (Between chess, opening gate and the lanes, I must say cast does an excellent job!) So, while we picked up a few acts we missed last week, we still haven't seen it all. We didn't go with season passes, though, so anything we've missed will now have to wait until next year. Oh, Hank, it was good to meet you! I loved the roller coaster story.

Glad you had a great time. There really is too much to see in a couple of days. Takes even longer once you get to know more people. Because then you keep stopping to talk and visit, and never get where you are going, when you want to get there Let's see. What did I get to experience this weekend? GYPSIES! They were running loose in the shire again, and it was awesome! I got to partake of the Penfold dinner hours, combined with some interesting card games thanks to BlueGuy. I saw a medieval boy band A pirate dunking. Lots of strange things with sheep Peasant Plays The king in a kilt. An awesome pipe and drum band. All that, on top of great food, great music, and great friends.

Mon 2 Gue might be the oddest thing yet this season. The ladies seem to love that group. Met more bodies to put names to, said goodbye for the year to a few more.

Saw the dance show at 4:30 where Romeo and company danced and sang. That was a howling good time! I can't wait until someone puts that on youtube because I took lots of pics then immediately after the dance show dropped my digital camera. In case you are wondering yes the screen shattered and it's unusable. I will have to chalk up another $80 for another one. In the meantime I have no way to even look at the pics I took today.

That's a major bummer. Are the pics stored on a memory card? Or does the camera only have internal memory?

Thank God they are on a memory card because all things combined I had 1,200 pics or so and moat are not replaceable!

Had another weekend at Faire. Being part time cast is very interesting. I am a different character each themed weekend and it is a lot of fun. Singing in the choir this year is most wonderous. They really are very good.
The gypsy folk running around the shire is fantastic. I really missed them.
The Geauga Highlanders are always such fun.
If you have not seen Lard Marshall Laww, give him a looksy. He is quite entertaining. He is on the Sherwood Stage.
Larry had corned beef sandwiches for the weekend. Always a treat. Rachel cooks them up pretty much any way you want.
The only thing missing this season ...... my own camera :-( I don't have time to take pictures at all. I can't sneak up on Trevor and Britny to take a picture.

Talk about luck! My camera broke yesterday and I go to Work today and my friend has one she does not want because it was a pain for her to figure out. Hearing the above story of yesterday's events she gave me the one she didn't want and she got a new one! Yay now I can take more faire pics for the final weekend!

Made it out on Saturday, and had a blast! It's so nice to see the shire bustling, I was concerned the first two weekends but business seems to have picked up nicely.
Since I missed last weekend, I didn't venture too far from the Stumbull Inn stage. Got my Circa Paleo fix for this season!

Every week I find another "Must-see" show... Which means at this point there's more shows that I must see each week than there is time to see them... If you saw a red and black blur shooting past you during the Parade, that was me... yes, I ran to get ahead of the parade three times... yes, I was tired afterwards.
