Here are a few websites that have both period and modern monologues. Some of them are organized by gender and type. This should make browsing easier--if you want to play a dark character choose a dramatic one, a goofy character a comic one. I suggest not using Shakespeare--under pressure his beautiful words can tongue tie even the most seasoned auditioner. Also remember that your monologues are to be only one minute long. With most of these you'll need to shorten them (in a logical way) to one minute. The list: www.monologuearchive.com/www.actorpoint.com/monologue.htmlnotmyshoes.net/monologues/www.monologuesearch.com/ <= You'll have to create a free account with this one. Hope this helps! -Kara

Hello everyone! We're now only two weeks away from our 2009 auditions!
I wanted to take this time to remind you that this year everyone must audition to be part of the 2009 cast. Even if you've worked here for several years you must audition for us. There is no "shoe in" policy.
That being said-- if you're interested in auditioning you need to sign up for an audition time. (Posted above)
You do this by e-mailing Sarah at pantageous@aol.com (Subject Line: GLMF Auditions)
Thanks! I hope to see you all at auditions!
(Comment here or e-mail me klaughar@kent.edu if you have any questions/ concerns)
***Note: If you can't make it to the auditions, you also need to get in contact with Sarah and schedule an alternative time/option

How are the auditions going? Will there be any more? Or should I change this to not be an announcement any more?

Trevor, Auditions went very well! We had a great turn out and the cast list should be coming out soon. As far as I am aware there will be no more auditions for this season.
Thanks, Kara
