So, what did everyone think of the 2nd weekend.
I don't think we could have had any better weather. As far as I can remember, it was the best faire weekend weather ever!
The themed acts were good. The acrobats were entertaining, and it was nice to hear the harp being played in several places.
Also nice to see even more vendors lining the lanes. The grounds look so much better when the lanes are full.

The weather (as if anyone has control over it save for mayhaps Merlin!) was perfect, tho' I'm sure the crops could do with some more sun and warmth...how ere, for those of us in leather...we liked it just fine! I fear the "theme" of the weekend was a bit....lost as I had several people ask me and I was really at a loss to point out anything that lent itself to a "Royal Encounter". I did see signs for the "Wooing" Contest but as far visiting Royalty and Dignitaries from other lands...must've missed them. Upcoming weekend, Pirate Weekend? No explanation necessary.

We had a group of actors from Southern Ohio come up. They were there. I rarely saw them though, but they were at the dance shows and with the Queen a couple times.

I actually saw them quite a bit around the shire. And they were in the parade as well. Couple other things I forgot to mention. First,, is that I forgot just how funny Porter and Stout are. I was sitting in front of Pluck's Saturday, eating before going to the 4 o'clock joust. What do I hear as they are starting up their show and trying to draw a crowd? Porter performing the free-credit-report song. The resturaunt one. You know, the one with the line "dressed up like a pirate, in this resturaunt" I almost fell off the picnic table. Also discovered that the lovely ladies working a lemonade stand are quite creative. It's the one between Stumble Inn and the Souveneer Stand. Across from the fruit stand. They have been carving the lemons into different things. This picture That picture, they are showing the bumble bee they did. I have another picture from Sunday with the dolphin, catfish, samuri, and several others. That is definitely the stand I will use from now on when I need to stop for cafinated beverages (pepsi)
