For the people keeping score (I know some of the villains were), here's the weekend's stock count for the Highwayman: SATURDAY, Day 3Lady Morgana le Fey: 27 Lord Kevlar: 3 Lady Adonna: 2 Duke Wayneright: 1 Abigail Normal: 1 Ira Swindleman: 1 Puck (via Morholt): 1 Random Patron: 1 ----- The Bad Guys: 34 The Good Guys: 0 The Village: 3 Total: 37 Special Thanks: Adam Hunter, George La Forge, Dennis Griffin (for their many acts of mercy) SUNDAY, Day 4Lord Kevlar: 4 Lady Adonna: 3 Lord Browning: 1 Abigail Normal: 1 Lord Marcus Avaloch: 1 Sculley Cleaver: 1 ----- The Bad Guys: 9 The Good Guys: 0 The Village: 2 Total: 11 Why do I keep working for the bad guys? I stole a gold coin thrown to the Gypsies right in front of the royal court, got a scolding from Sir Tristan, but no stock-time from any of the knights. Law and order, right there! Weekend Winner: Morgana with 27, representing the Bad Guys. Runners-Up: Kevlar with 7, Adonna with 5.

Well you would have been sent to the stocks for taking the gypsies gold but Lancelot pointed out that it is your job to do what you did so you were only doing your job...

I have to say that I really like Lancelot's logic.

I think the cute little brown haired flower girl should put you in the stocks every time you say no to buying her flowers. (She has been hounding you for 3 years!)

Wait, what was the reasoning behind you getting thrown into the stocks by the random patron?

SATURDAY, Day 5Abigail Normal: 10 Sir Tristan: 8 Xian Jung: 4 Lord Kevlar: 2 Lord Browning: 2 Duke Wayneright: 1 Sir Palamedes: 1 Lord Wesson: 1 ----- The Bad Guys: 19 The Good Guys: 8 The Village: 0 Total: 29 SURPRISE BONUS STOCK WINNER: The Shiney-Jingly-Gypsy-Peasant-Highwayman-Purple Thing formerly known as Morgana, with 12. SUNDAY, Day 6Abigail Normal: 17 Sir Tristan: 12 Xian Jung: 8 Lord Kevlar: 2 Lady Isolde: 1 Sir Percival: 1 Sir Galahad: 1 Lord Browning: 1 Sheriff Griffin: 1 Captain Smee: 1 ----- The Bad Guys: 28 The Good Guys: 15 The Village: 2 Total: 45 ** New Personal Record** Special Thanks for the Weekend: Sir Lancelot (for the 2nd weekend in a row, aiding my success!), Sir Palamedes, Sir Yvain, Warren Carver, Flynt Stryker, and the Lake Erie Pirates. Weekend Winner: Abigail Normal with 27, representing the Bad Guys. Runners-Ups: Tristan with 20, Xian Jung with 15. In honor of our winner, I have agreed to grant her brilliance further accolades. As the Highwayman became a knight and thus outranked the Jester, she married Lord Wesson to once more hold rank. When Sir Tristan decreed that any time Abigail place the Highwayman in the stocks I was to immediately imprison myself on his behalf, she found a loophole and hired pirates, children, and whoever else to imprison me in her name. When Sir Palamedes knighted me, she held out a shiney (knowing the Highwayman's complete obsession with shiney things) that I could not help but steal, thus resulting in my de-knighting. When Yvain dubbed me a backwards knight of evil (Ris Highwayman), she convinced Yvain and Palamedes that I still merited punishment for my crimes (their initial punishment was ordering me to have to follow her around and stare at her), thus resulting in me ending up back in the stocks. At the end of pub sing, she dragged the Highwayman to each stock along the way to the gates to ensure my inability to imprison myself for Tristan or the Hun. So, congratulations. She outwitted all in their attempts to ensure that she was not victorious. And, kudos to the good guys for making quite a showing this weekend. Favorite "To the Stocks:"Outside of the Pickle Grove, Lord Browning starts storming over to the Highwayman. "HIGHWAYMAN! G-" Tristan, sitting down around the corner, quickly jumps up, "Highwayman! To the stocks before Lord Browning can send thee!" Browning gives a perplexed, frustrated look to the smirking Tristan as the Highwayman heads off to imprison himself again.

We were sitting at Olives and saw the whole thing. Tristan was sitting there because they were having their tea party at the time. www.tylisaari.com/medieval/glmf09/misc090505.JPG

Weekend Winner: Abigail Normal, representing the Bad Guys, with 14. Runners-Up: Sir Tristan with 11 and Xian Jung with 10.
Shout-Out: To Camelot for making an impressive showing on Saturday, mostly to Tristan and Percival playing Highwayman Ping Pong between the two stocks, and to the Queen for managing to put the Highwayman in BOTH stocks at the same time.
On Sunday, I took to hiding a lot and managed to stealthily crouch behind stumps and signs whenever the courts would go by, my goal trying to make my time in the stocks below 20 counts. I lost, obviously, but got a reprieve towards the end of the day when Mordred inducted the Highwayman into the Pagan Church of Morgana as a priest; Pastor Myles could not be taxed or jailed, hah! Adam Hunter was quick to point out the irony in the Highwayman finding refuge within the Church of Morgana.
