Trevor, do you have pictures of Russ?
It is the guy in the kilt or the taller one with earrings?

Russ is the guy kissing me! www.tylisaari.com/medieval/glmf09/rc.htmI'm sure there will be things you can all do to help as election time grows nearer. I'll try to get Russ to post later today or tomorrow about how people can help. I know he'll be meeting with Bob this weekend, so he may wait until after they meet to say a whole lot. I know for him & Bob both, this is not ALL about the faire. It is about what IS FAIR! It is about giving a voice to EVERYONE, not just a small vocal group using their political power to forward their personal agenda on the backs of the residents. It is about financial mismanagement that has reduced our fire & road budgets to below bare bones. It is about trustees that are unresponsive to residents & visitors alike. It is about moving Trumbull Township forward so it can heal & prosper.

before we start volunteering to toss flyers all over the place...
there are certain rules in place about how and where these things can end up in an election. Violating these rules is a bad thing. We can end up causing more damage than helping if it's not done the proper way.
Russ needs to designate himself or someone he trusts to serve as a campaign manager and EVERYTHING needs to go through this person. Flyers have to stay within the election district. I know for certain tucking them in a mailbox is absolutely out of the question but a paperbox is ok. Door to door may or may not be an issue. Sticking them on parked cars tends to send folks away as much as helping in my past experience.
In short: Don't just start doing stuff for Russ. Stuff needs to be accounted for and tracked for financial accountability. What needs to be done is to let him know how to get a hold of you when he does need some help.

Excellent advise Blueguy! Campaign finance laws are strict. "Where did you appropriate funds for flyers, posters, signs? Where and what ammounts did and can you recieve? " These are questons that can derail a campaign. (and I'm sure the trustees would love to do that) We are here to follow your lead Russ. Let us know how and what we can do.
