:)He who lurks in shadow, enters the light! Hello handsome. I must say you surprised me with the unmasking. As for me, I believe I will be a spectator the first weekend , and possibly join the game the following weekend. I'll be to distracted opening weekend, I need to be focused for the hunt. It sounds like fun! Have a great 4th, see you Saturday, weeeeeeeee!

I am the hubby of Celtic Wench (real name Josh Wilburn). I would love to be in on your game if it is not too late. I do not have a faire name, but my wife has me on a short leash, so I might be easy to find. I bow to the default charity as my own for the weekend. Thank you!

There are several that concur with deborah1snowwhite, and that Opening Weekend is out.. Newer people going around seeing the Faire.. Regulars that know they'll be too distracted with seeing everyone... I've had several say "Not Opening Weekend, but after that.."
So, we have eleven for our initial game... At the end of the game, please give feedback on the rules for subsequent changes.
Also, if you have not stated your chosen charity, you can do so when you pick up your assignment at the Pickle Grove. Or else, it defaults to the default charity, RESCU.
Good hunting all!!!!!

Ok, having just come from day one of this game, I have some thoughts.
First, kudos for even trying this. It takes work to coordinate, there are lots of glitches to work out, and there can be problems that you can't anticipate. Still, a tip of the hat to anyone that helped with this.
Second, I mentioned this to several of you today, but even though it wasn't a rule before, I think it might be nice to ask that everyone who plays dress in garb. Honestly, it doesn't make a difference because you either know someone and you seek them out or you don't know them, find out what they look like, and take them out anyway. However, after having taken out a few very well-humored targets, I felt bad that I was wearing civvies. I suggest adding the rule only because it shows that the people in the game are there for the whole experience, not just sniping people off a list. Just a thought.
With that said, and to ease my guilt a bit, since I am still in the game I will put a bounty on my own head of any drink 24oz. or less (21 or over for alcohol) to the person who takes me down. And, as a special bonus, if my assassin manages to get one of my previous targets to set me up before I am taken down, then they both get a drink on me. I'll even extend this to my wife -- if you manage to convince her to sell me out to get to me (she would probably sell me out for a roll of Sweet-tarts) then either my assassin can have 2 drinks or they can share one with my wife.
Either way, I'm probably buying some drinks. Best of luck to those who remain.

You can TRY Sweet-Tarts, but you'd probably have much better luck with a Guinness. ;D

So.....opening weekend went well, had a lot of fun, worked out a few small kinks, and this comming weekend looks to be shaping up even bigger and better. I'm sure Dave will have a lot to say about it as well.
One note from me personally.......YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER TO COME AND TELL ME WHEN YOU ARE DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And only at Faire will you ever hear someone saying that......... ;D ;D ;D

Celtic Wench's Whipping Boy really played the game! .. And not because he wasn't in garb for Saturday, but because he used stealth and guile to find his targets. He didn't know any of them previously, and found them out.
I was set up by CWWB, and fairely well too! ... And he also determined "He who lurks in shadows" with a small amount of information and an intelligent stake-out.
One of his observations: "Boy, you people are so ready to seel each other out..."
Soooo... rules revisions for next time... People should be in garb. No stand-ins.. People must check in on Saturday by 2:30, or end of the Parade. That way, there's time to reassign if need be.. Food courts are in. Lines for food are still out.
Also, soon there will be rules for dealing with CAST! (Yes, there were cast that specifically asked to play..)
Alright, time to go revise and repost for 2nd weekend......

Ha, can I take credit for knowing who "He who lurks in shadows" WAS? I told my whipping boy who I thought HWLIS was, and I was right!!! (but he set up his own little stake-out, I can't take credit for that...) hey, I'm a total non-threat now, since I won't be back. Ever.
