Hello my fellow faire friends, I'm in need of garb or someone who could sew me my garb. I used to be able to sew myself but without a sewing machine for almost 10 or more years I've lost my skills. I'm in need of the garb because I'll be working for a friend of mine Melissa of Enchanted Chains this year and I really don't want to wear just one or two outfits through the whole faire plus I have SCA events I plan on going to throughout the rest of the year. Sincerely, Geoffrey DeVaney (Jeffrey Yates)

I might be able to help you out with sewing. Do you have any patterns you want to use? if not then try looking at sewingpatterns.com and get back to me on your choice. If you can't find a pattern online there are other things that can be done.

Geoffrey- In the past, garb vendors (and other vendors, too) would offer a "participant discount" to performers/salesfolk/etc. at the faire. I have no idea what vendors will be there this coming season or if this practice will continue, but if you don't mind waiting until opening day, it couldn't hurt to ask. Also, look for stuff that can do "double duty." Usually a decent pirate-style shirt can stand up to frequent washings, and you can pair it with pants, a kilt, a reversible doublet or 2....you get the idea.....

I got two shirts and two pairs of pants, just need other things made up like a new doublet and such since the lady who made my clothing didn't alter the patterns like I had hope since I'm long in the torso and wide chested.
