You have until March 20th to suggest new names for Vendors and Performers. If you don't know what that means, check this thread HERE

Not sure about the performer part, but how about "Crafter's Corner" for the vendors. Yes, I know, you probably don't want to split them, but it is just a suggestion. See what I can come up with for the other.

What's wrong with crafters and troubadours? I'm always hearing change can be good, time to start practicing that philosophy.

Vendors and Performers is more general, less specific. Not all of the people selling wares at Faire craft their own products, but , craft their own or not, all who sell are vendors. And Troubadours, at least in my dictionary and general understanding, are singers or musicans, which not all of our Performers are.
Less poetic, perhaps, but more to the point. And change is a good thing where it's needed. In this case, though, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! You know how usually when a product is labeled 'New And Improved', and it generally isn't.............................

I agree with Dillasandra. While change is not always a bad thing, it also isn't always necessary. Anyone remember "New Coke?" Or "Crystal Pepsi?"

Still prefer Crafters and Troubadours, myself. This isn't about "new and improved", it's more about a few cosmetic changes. And I don't understand why it's all of a sudden so important to be so bloody precise with our terminology, everyone here knows what is meant. I know not everyone is going to be completely happy with the changes, whatever they are, but I can't understand all the static over this.
As for the goings on in the "cola wars", never paid any attention to Coke or Pepsi. Always been a Dr. Pepper girl, myself. ;-)

Not static, really, just opinions being aired. Can't imagne that it'll be any sort of life altering thing, whatever they end up being! Crafters and Troubadours is way too flowery girlie for my taste, but if that's what it ends up being, it won't stop me from reading/posting on it.
Relax, cousin, nothing stressful, just a spirited sharing of opinions. ( And Rush chews knickers!!!!!!) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Note: you are now free to take a couple of shots at my metal....all excepting Sebastian, he's mine! ;D ( Yeah, don't I WISH!!!)
