I just wanted to say thank you to those who commented that they would miss me performing this year. That is a major compliment to me. I am very excited to be working as John's assistant though. It gives me an opportunity to use a lot of the knowledge I have gained in my 4, I mean 5, I mean 6 years of college.
In reference to the comment that our cast will be a little smaller than some may like, I would just like to say it doesn't matter the size of the cast if they are all amazing performers and interactor and after seeing auditions I think we have some great returning and new talent .

*cackles evilly* Ahhh, fresh meat...... with no clue as to the weight and heat and restricting horrors of the clothing of nobility... Actually, I've been attending faire for about eight years, and I've been wearing incredibly impractical dresses the whole time (ah yes, the bell sleeves in the privy...that's a fun one). Somehow I always manage to talk my friends into wearing them too! But yeah, I'm sure you guys have more fun, especially if it rains and you don't have to worry about getting *gasp* mud on your hems!

If you remember Richard's post here back in December, that's what I'm referring to with "Richard's gypsies". Not technically part of cast; it's a separate thing, from what I understand. Kim is still waffling on whether or not to join; there's a camp meeting this Sunday so I'll find out then. Her reasons for not rejoining cast are myriad and are her own; PM or email or call her if you're really wanting to know. Actually, I've been attending faire for about eight years, and I've been wearing incredibly impractical dresses the whole time (ah yes, the bell sleeves in the privy...that's a fun one). Ah, then you're prepared! Wonderful! And it means you won't collapse from dehydration because you know how to compensate for the heat and heaviness. Good for you!

It is absolutely a great cast this year, and I think it's going to be a street cast like we haven't seen in years! As John mentioned, I am indeed taking the camp and making it a home for wayward rovers of the Emerald Isle as well as a few wayward pirates (Me 'n Jack) when we're not busy plundering the shire!
Take to heart that the cast is actually MUCH larger than last year, seeing as the gypsys in the camp and the fairies in the woods took away from street time. And don't think my little troop of misfits won't be roaming around, too!
As John said, there were those who simply didn't show up to audition. We let anyone who wanted to audition to do so, and there were no restrictions. I was actually surprised that there were faces that didn't show up to audition. I am sure they have their reasons, and for many of the ones you may be thinking of, it was because of jobs, schools, and family travel. Also, the pinch that the Great Guru of Gasoline has put on us has made a few difficult decisions for some. But then again, you may just see some of them in the Olde Caravan . . .
In any event, I am absolutely thrilled with the way the cast has turned out so far. And stay tuned, because you never know what exciting announcements may come forth from the Man in the Know, John Davis!
Ta ta everybody!

I'll be back with Richard, also. Divina won't be with me, but her cousin will. You'll have to wait to see!

when steve called to let me know what his role was this year, i thought he said "match maker" which would be absolutely perfect for him-i could picture him going about the shire pairing people up. i'll have to wait to see what he does with this character of map maker. the boy has talent-it's such a treat for me to get to see the development of the charaters he creates. i am truly blessed to have a son as awesome as he is!!!

Hello everyone! I'm back!
I will be back at the faire this year with Richard and the Tinkerers playing an Irish Tin/Metal Smith. I've taken up an art 3D minor at BGSU working with metals and jewerly so I thought it was the perfect opportunity. Thanks for thinking of me Trevor! I feel love-ed!
Cast list looks great and I can't wait to see everything in action. It's going to be a great year!
