so, i remember when i was Nadja in '05 there was a masquerade weekend, but what I can't remember is if it was the theme for the weekend or in addition the theme for the weekend.
what i really want to know is if there's going to be a masquerade weekend this year, because it was much fun, as i remember.
Anyone know?

Ummmm...as far as I know, last year, the last weekend was Italian Carnivale and Masquerade. People wore masks that were only to be taken off at the end of the day during Pubsing. Seeing as there is no such themed weekend in the schedule this year I am not sure if it will happen. Although I am sure no one will mind much if you decide to wear one just for fun!

Last year they had all of the Merry Men in masks during the parade so that they could be there in the parade the same time as the Sheriff and his men. Ingenious.

i'll probably make another of the one I made before when I have the money to do so. The last one was one of those simple ones that covers the eyes, that I covered with the red brocade that I made my skirt to the red/black dress out of, and put two plumes (a larger black and a smaller red) on the side of. It wasn't that expensive, maybe 15, 20 bucks tops (and thats pushing it), but I don't have 15-20 bucks right now, so it'll have to wait. I may use the black brocade (used that on the bodice) instead (I *do* like that fabric better, after all) but that'll have to wait for later when it becomes a serious project. I haven't got any good pictures of the fabric (they all look like crap, doing no justice whatsoever to it), and I haven't gotten around to coercing someone into taking pictures of me in the dress yet. The red brocade's a shade darker than cherry red with black cherry blossoms on it. The black's, well, black, with funky red flowers on it. It was a nice mask. I wonder where it went...I never threw it out.
