Twas good. Weather was very nice. Warm, but not real hot. The pucking went well, with only a few small glitches. Lots of old friend running about the shire.
Was a wonderous time.

Last year it didn't matter to me much, but this year the nearly brings a tear to my eye. I've made lots of new friends here this year, and I'll miss them all- some more than most. I never thought I'd get in tosomething like this, but its alot of fun. I actually started to buy my new "garb" today.

I know exactly what you mean. The first couple years we were at faire, we were kind of sad when it ended, because it was so much fun. But, I think it was the 2004 season. It was really sad at closing gate. We had gotten to know so many people that year. And lots of them became really special friends. To think we wouldn't see them again for almost a year was enough to really choke me up.

The weather was perfect. I will miss all of my new friends. We made quite a few new friends this year. Sunday will be a tear jerker of a day.

Yes, closing gate will be sad. But on the flip side. If the people at faire weren't so cool and awesome, then it wouldn't hurt so much to say goodbye to them after only knowing some of them for 6 weekends.

Hmmm....that may be why I avoid "Closing Gate" and just hang at the Stumble with others and BS until we get tossed out! LOL! There's something about walking around the Shire when it's dark...and (semi) quiet that is quite magical...like Brigadoon, where the town exits for only a brief time before it becomes shrouded in the mists and disappears until next year...
In any case, it will be sad to say "goodbye" to all my friends...but there is always hope in meeting them at other Faires, or just to keep in contact here....
See you in a few....
