How is the parking lot, and the Shire itself, and do I need to wear thigh high boots?

Well, you can check my post in this threadBut basically, the parking lot has a little mud, but it is pretty stable. The shire itself has some wet spots, but not a lot of mud. Less than what was there last Sunday.

Lady C... I will second Trevor's opinion, the village was in remarkably good shape considering all the rain we had this past Thursday. So, you can leave your stilts at home. Unless we get horrendous rains tonight, and I have heard of no such thing in the forecast. So! you need only come out, smile, look cute, and enjoy your day. HANK.

I just wish Larry would scoop out the car paths, lay some drainage tiles with gravel....I layered many vehicles with mud this morning trying to park....sorry if one of those vehicles were yours!

Actually, you would be surprised how much drain tile and gravel is already in that parking lot.
I too had a bit of trouble this morning. Though it was more towards the far ent. Up by the faire was pretty dry, but down by the pond it was muddier. Kind of makes sense because with the pond there, the ground tends to hold more water in that area. By the time I left tonight though, it was pretty dry down there too.

Joe, I found out why the one side of the parking lot was still soft on Saturday.
Seems the drainage worked too well. The pond overflowed! Which meant is spilled over into the parking lot. Seems the drainage from the pond, to the creek had gotten blocked over the years (never really had the pond overflow so it was never thought about or checked)

Was there on sunday- my parking spot was pretty dry-I was amazed.
