The Chicken Dinner Man is GOD. *hits dirt like a gypsy before the king*
And now I know his name is Larry! Yay! All last season I'm going "Hail to the chicken dinner man!" because I didn't know his name but he was amazing and accepted cast meal tickets for half a chicken and a side. *drool* We only get one meal ticket a day, and it's usually only spendable at the food court by Stumble Inn - and a slice of pizza or a steak-on-a-stake does not last you an entire 10- or 12-hour faire day. Half a chicken and a side does! Saved my hypoglycemic butt last season. <3

My goodness, who knew so many disliked fairy dust! I didn't think the vendors should throw it on people as they passed by either! Howere, I'm sometimes seen in the Shire with wings, and do like the things that Fae folks like! Actually, I didn't buy the wand myself, my "guys" got it for me! Probably would've never bought one for myself, but once you have one, since they were sold with "free lifetime refills", you'd like to be able to refill it. Alas, I shall perservere, I hope!! ;D Anywho, as far as Friar Plucks, I must second Trevor's comments!! We all LOVE the chicken and potatoes!! Heck, a friend that I finally got to come with to Faire last year tried it, and she's still talking about it!! Just last week she was saying if she got to come out this year, she'd have to stop at "the chicken place" that we took her to last year!

Well I tried to have baked potatos last year and it didn't seem to go over well. maybe sweet potato will. I'll ask TPTB for some to try out. As for different sauces, what types? The corn-on-the-cobb was at the next booth over, fire dept ran it, if they don't come back I'll try to put it on. The watermelon was near the Stumble Inn, again if noone also is doing it I'll try it. I'll try and see you all at the meet & greet, still haven't decided what to bring. NOT chicken, I will all that I can get for the Faire.

Pulled pork sauces: Different levels of spicy BBQ is what I was going for. Somedays it's nice to have a mild tang to the meal, but on the good days...a hotter tangier spice is useful.
I'm confused then. Wasn't there a year when you had watermelon AND corn on the cob together with your meals? Or were you just working with the other booths?

2003 they had the watermellon wedges. I remember because that was the year that Sword School's tent was down in that area. And that was only for part of the run, it wasn't the whole run.

A few more bits of info before things start. First, I found out Jason (simlpy bizzare) is doing mud this year! That should be interesting to say the least The fights, and other cast shows look great! We have been trying to avoid actually seeing any of the practices because we want to get the full impression when we see them at faire. But, what bits we have seen are awesome! Some of the fight choreography we saw was SWEET! Today when helping with site, we got to put out some of the cool new statues! I won't spoil it, but keep your eyes open for some of them. I saw lots of new gravel and fill dirt around the shire today as well. And some of the landscaping looks great! As does the excalibur stage. Won't say more, as I want you to be surprised. And for those of you that this bothered. The Tiki Bar is gone! Where it stood, will now be a fruit vendor. Not sure if there will be a new incarnation with a different look anywhere, but no more Tiki.

Yeah, I was there on Sunday. In the rain. Ridding in the back of Sarah's trailor holding onto statues as we placed them around the shire.
