Still non-funtional. Weather has been too crappy for me to bother. It's a blown brake cylinder. Won't be hard to fix if I can just get the darn tire off. Something about this car and rims rusting to the drums

Trevor. A bit of advice ole buddy. when you do get your wheelsand brake drums off wire brush/sand the center hole to rid that area of rust then goop the heck out of it with a product called Permatex anti seize. this can be gotten at any auto parts store. great stuff! I won't assemble anything without anti seize on it. this will solve that rusted together problem you are having. to bad you!re not closer, I!d tell you to just bring it over here. At the moment I!am replacing all four ball joints on my Dodge. with 240,000 miles on the car the original just wore out. they just don!t make things like they use to. H&B

Thanks Hank. I know all about never seize, don't have any myself, I use the poor man's version - more comonly known as grease ;D
Problem is, this side I have never had apart. I had similar problems with the other side when I was first getting it road worth. The advantage then was I was in my mother's heated garage. Probably all caused from the car sitting in the yard for over a year.
I already wire brushed the heck out of it and soaked it with PB blaster. Heated it up (not real warm though considering the air temp and the surface area involved. Maybe tomorrow I will break out my other propane torch and use both at once). Using my little pry bar and can get a little movement out of it and sprayed the heck out of the holes for the lugs. Hopefully after it sits over night it will loosen up.

Trevor. another bit of car repair advice. instead of using a propane torch you might want to try MAPP gas. you can get a propane sized cylinder of MAPP gas at the hardware store, Lowes, Homedepot, ect. cost about $7.00 for a cylinder. advantage: burns a lot hotter than propane, can heat a piece of metal RED hot!! just MAKE SURE your torch head is rated for MAPP gas or you will melt it. a proper MAPP gas torch head can be used for propane as well. if you've never tried it take my word for it you will like it. I use mine when I need heat at the junk yard to remove rusted up used parts. it is smaller and easier to lug around then my oxy/act. torch yet still gives you plenty of heating power. H&B.

Though I really hate to interrupt shop talk I thought I would update you all on the GLMF. Brook has tended us an offer that we are considering. I will be speaking with him and iron out a few details. Hopefully we will be under contract soon.
