Trying to keep as many static holes as possible, but knowing that the faire site changes - did anyone have any hole ideas that we haven't tried out?
Also, this years non-sanctioned tournament...
What did people think of the prizes last year? I tried to keep them focused on Rat Puck itself and give everyone at least a token of playtime.
What should they be this year?
I'd like to keep the tokens around as I think it would be fun as people play to collect different tourney tokens. Why? Because I'm a pack rat at heart.
Working on the design for the new token already. If I come up with more than one that I must use, maybe we'll have TWO tournaments!
HA! As if we'll have time...but we can try!

I love the tokens!
I have mine right here in my computer desk for easy access.
I think it fits perfectly in the theme of rat puck. Basic, simple, and really fun.

I was eyeing my rodent gear just the other day. My soon to be 6 yr old daughter is getting a rat and pucking stick for her birthday, and she'll probably be bouncing off the walls to use them. Hmm, I think I might need to explain some things to the former in-laws.

Good, then the tokens will definitely continue. I have a new idea on how to make them this year, but keeping with my burnt wooden coin theme. I hope it works the way my brain thinks it will.
Course, I should really get moving on Pox's Place too eh?
So much to be done!!! So very little precious time!!!

Yes. Pox Place is a must. Everything else kind of hinges on that so it is 'the' priority. (I mean, if you are too tired from lugging all your stuff around, how are you going to lead insane fun? )

Penfold: Here's a thought. How about if you make custom rat pucks and give them as prizes in a tournament or the like? You could call them "Pox's Pucks". Just a thought.

Penfold usually has a spare rat or two to borrow.
We have one extra also. (that reminds me, I still have some mending to do on my rat)

If I can scrape together the money, which is a fun issue right now, I hope to buy a few more to have as extras. The other option is to order your own from Emrys himself. I need to find some true free time soon and take care of various things. It's all so fleeting. Right now, I need to find time to do the following (and this is just the faire list) : - Purchase supplies for Pox's place
- Build Pox's place
- Purchase more pucking rats
- Mend any damaged rats
- Mend my pucking sticks
- Message Emrys about Rat Puck and some things I have to discuss with him
- Design the 2006 Rat Puck tokens
- Make the 2006 Rat Puck tokens
- Figure out and purchase/make the 2006 Rat Puck prizes
- Other stuff I don't remember right now
Main issue, don't really have any time off from work, so it's hard to get it all organized and done. WHEEE!!!

For anyone interested, Emrys's website that sells the rats is: www.scarlettrat.com/stuff.htmlWe ordered a rat recently for Kelzar's daughter's birthday. We think she'll love her "zebrat"! Yes, it has black and white stripes.

Dearest Penfold- How about this for an idea for the tourney- The winner each time will have their initials carved into a DEAD (not live) tree somewhere along the course, so we can watch the list grow and have a history to be kept at the shire of all the most excellent puckers ;D

Hrm...I would stay away from that just because the tree may be removed in the future.
HOWEVER, that IS a great idea. I could always carve the names into some wood that I own and could bring back each year.

Now that does sound like a great idea.
I agree about the tree thing. Who knows when something will be pulled out, or built over. But a piece of wood would be great. It could even be displayed at Pox's Place (if it ever gets built)

The Rat Puckers Hall of Fame! A plaque of sorts would be nice.
